I haven't been on the DIS in quite a while and I have lots of catching up to do...

Online ADRs???

Dining 90+10???

I haven't been to WDW sine January 2007, so I am itching to go again soon!!! :scared1:

Hi Princess, and Welcome back!

ADRs are currently 90+10, but will be changing again soon to 180+10. Apparently, the 90 day crush and complain wasn't working, so they are going back to the old system on October 27.

Do you have a trip in the works?

Hi!

The ADRs can now be booked online 90 days in advance (and up to an additional 10 days as well, if you are staying in a Disney resort) for parties up to 10 people. This is also true for any size party via the 407-WDW-DINE number. As of October 27, 2009, the system is going BACK to the 180 day (plus up to an additional 10 days if you are staying in a WDW resort) window for the advance dining reservations.

The online system opens up a full hour before the call center, so if you have a party of less than 10, this is totally the way to go, in my humble opinion.

Lots has changed, but lots has remained the same...pure Disney magic!

One thing that I recommend...if you are going to visit during a busy time of the year, go straight to the Toy Story Mania ride when visiting Hollywood Studios (formerly called MGM) and get a Fastpass when you first get there. The lines are constantly ridiculous for this ride, and fastpasses run out by noon during the summer months. (kind of like Soarin' and Test Track used to be, and sometimes still are).

Happy planning!! :surfweb::wizard::cheer2:

Thanks for the tips! :thumbsup2

No plans for a trip as of yet, but I just got married 2 1/2 months ago and it takes time to convert people to being Dsiney fans!!! LOL :darth:

He knows I am a big vacation planner. He has agreed to do 2 days at Disney... :rotfl2: I said I need a week!
Least amount of time I have spent there is 4 whole days. Most is 9 days, and I LOVED it! :cloud9:

Katie: I couldn't help but notice that you and your DH have an age difference, too...

I just got married in June to a wonderful man who is 14 years older than me and we plan on having children, soon.

Any advice for getting DH to Disney before I get pregnant??? LOL :rotfl:

So how does this work? We are going in Feb so 90 days is in Nov. So can we call on 10-27 to make ADR's? I am not staying on Disney property. How does this all work 90+10 and 180+10?

Hi Jewlsvern!!
Well, the DDP and ADR's are explained in a sticky, I think, but as for your situation, since you are staying off-site but the entire stay will be within 180 days, you will have to call on Oct. 27th. (When the 180 window opens). I would SO recommend using the online system b/c you aren't using the DDP, and you won't have issues like your resort reservation number recognized, etc. Plus, I hear that the hold times can be up to 30 minutes. Yikes! (thank goodness for unlimited free long distance phone plans!!) Plus, your entire stay is all suddenly within the 180 window, so you don't have to do one day at a time, so this is a going to be great! (but the system will probably overload on 10/27 lol)

Good luck!!

Miss Amber,

My advice is to do a do a small vacation to WDW and plan totally romantic and stress-free vacation so that he can totally appreciate the ease of the of an on-site stay. The memories will make him happy. :) He will fall in love with WDW, I am sure of it! (That's what happened to my father when my mother and I dragged him out there. There is a 17 yr difference between myself and my sister, and she was still a tween when we started this. He LOVED that he didn't have to drive, and the food was so posh compared to what my mom and I cook :) )

1st Congratulations!

No advice on the getting 'em to Disney...it took having a munchkin to get mine there :) We used to be the Napa Valley/Las Vegas/Maui set....now we are all munchkin, all the time.....Maybe you could mention that V&A would be out for at least 4 years [to get the wee one old enough to go to a kid program]?

Thanks Katie and Wants2live@WDW...

We are trying to plan for either after Thanksgiving or next January. He said I can plan to my heart's content!!! :woohoo:
