Long time no DVC! Questions about internet access & grocery shopping.

Our family is heading back to WDW after 5 long years. I have a few questions:

(1) I see OKW (our home) now has internet access. Is this free for members? Do I need to be sure to request a room with access? Are there places at OKW where I can get free WiFi access?

(2) Last time we went we stopped off at Albertson's to pick up our groceries. We faxed our grocery order in advance and it was ready for us to just pick up and pay. Has anyone used Albertson's for this recently? We used the one on Orange Blossom Trail before.

Thanks for any input! We're going to be there for 2 weeks and I really need internet access for my work. (Self-employed grant writer.)

High speed internet access at OKW is $9.95 for each 24 hour period. Its available in every unit so you don't have to make any special requests. If you forget your ethernet cable, just call housekeeping for a free loaner. Sorry, No WiFi - free or otherwise at OKW.

I haven't heard of any free WiFi. Maybe someone else here will know. I do know that some folks are ordering grocerys from a place that delivers it right to your villa, but we usually have a car and stop at the store ourselves, so I'm not much of an expert at that. Since the high speed is $9.95 for a 24 hour period, you can actually get away with paying every other day. That's what we did last trip. Also, if you don't mind dial up, you can still do that for less cost provided you have a server you can get into from Florida.

We used Albertson's fax service last Nov. DH presented his courtesy card at check out, we got appropriate discounts and everything went very smoothly. This month we tried www.wegoshop.com. It was very good as well. Becca delivered directly to our villa at the time requested. We thought we would try the on-line because of the "Magical Express" that's coming in May there would be no grocery stop. We would use either service again.
