Long Time Lurker, First Time Poster

Hello:waves: I've been reading disboard for a while now and wanted to finally say hello The pic you see is of my sister and me at WDW circa fall 1982, I'm the younger (cuter, hehe) one. My DH and DD4 have been to WDW as a family 3 times and find something new to fall in love with each trip. We recently got back and really enjoyed MNSSHP and staying at the new AOA. We are from the Chicago area so our Disney dreaming/planning/saving usually starts in the cold winter months. For our next trip we would love to go in December again to enjoy MVMCP or possibly do an Alaskan Disney cruise. I've learned a lot of tips and tricks from all of you, thanks!

Welcome! I am in the same boat as you! I have been on and off the site for a few years, but never really quite understood how to post and the whole "blogging" thing. I've just recently started replying. Glad you had fun at the Halloween party (I'm sure DD LOVED it!). I highly recommend the Christmas Party. Have you ever been? If not, it is totally worth it! The fireworks and parade are great, there is a dance party that is a BLAST, and it snows on Main Street! All the parks are beautifully decorated, and the Osbourne Spectacle of Dancing Lights at Hollywood Studios is breathtaking!

Our first family trip was in December, DD was 16 months so we missed a lot. We did go to the Christmas party but we didn't do all the things we wanted to and left fairly early, that trip was still a blast so I always tell people to not be afraid of taking their babies. She will be 5 next year and ready to party with Mickey
