Long term parking at JFK

Where should we park for flights out of JFK? Is airport long term lot safe/secure - shuttle timely? or should we go with a private lot? Help!

You might try Avistar. We were originally going to leave our car there this past Jan. but ended up using long term parking at the Holiday Inn where we stayed the night before our flight. Avistar was very reasonable and if you have the Entertainment book there is a coupon for 25% off your total stay. There is a shuttle to the airport.
