Long Term Airport parking at Logan Internantional in MASS. ?

Just wondering what everyones experiences were with long term parking at Logan airport in mass. What is the cost, is it more conveinient to park at the airport than at other local parking places etc.. etc.. etc.. Anyone that could help me it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

My experience....EXPENSIVE!!!! We parked there on a spur of the moment trip on Christmas day about 4 years ago (maybe 5). We actually parked at the airport and it was approx $25.00/day. We were only gone for 3 days and we split the cost with my mom...so it wasn't as bad.

We usually take a limo/towncar in from Wakefield and it is about $40 each way, so leaving the car there was cheaper for the quick trip. This was also years ago...so I'm sure prices have gone up. Have you looked into the ones offsite?? Just a thought, we have never used them.

I've been trying to find some of the ones offsite, but not having much luck. I'm actually driving down there from brunswick, Maine. not real familiar with the area so if any one knows of any good offsite long term parking that would be great also.

I always have someone drive me to airport or to shuttle service. I have a friend who uses a rental car company for parking. They have a shuttle that takes you into the airport. I'll get details and post tomorrow.

We used the Economy lots at Logan in the past. They run about $90 for a week. There is a shuttle bus that runs pretty constantly to the terminals. We found it to be okay. Much better than paying to park in the terminal lots. We did use a van service but I think I would rather have dh drop us at the terminal, with the bags. Then he takes the car to the lot and takes the shuttle back. Then we reverse it when we return.

Only issue we have is if you go and it snows while you are gone!!! I sure would hate to have to clean off my car after a week in Orlando!!!

Go to Logan's site and it will give you directions and info on the Economy lots. Just be aware that the directions are a little misleading. It is a hike to the lots and I'm glad I didn't drive since I might have gotten lost!!! But it is marked.

The other thing you might want to look into is a hotel park and stay program. You stay for a night and then leave your car in their lot. You take a hotel shuttle over to the terminals. I think Holiday Inn or Sheraton has that program. It might be worth looking into since you are coming in from Maine.

I asked my friend. She used Thrifty Car Rental. Here's a link Thrifty parking It's $15.95/day. My friend has even arrange for them to do an oil change while she was away (but at the Providence location not Logan so she can't vouch for them). I don't know if they have a weekly rate. Economy Parking is $16/day $96/week so Thrifty isn't a cheep as it used to be. Massport parking

We've parked at the airport in Central parking for the convenience and it's $22 a day. We like having our car there for easy access.

We've also done a stay, park & fly at the Holiday Inn Logan a few times. That's what we do when our flight is early in the am. It's about $150 for one night and includes 10 days of parking. The shuttle bus runs every 15 minutes and they are about 5 minutes away.

We like both for the convenience.

We have had people drive us but we aren't crazy about this option as we don't like relying on others and we like having our car there to go home in when we get back.

and we had to park on the roof!!!! our total cost was $154 for the 7 days....and it was 1 degree when we got there. thank goodness it hadn't snowed or we would have had trouble. as it was, it was so cold that it took 15 minutes for my fingers to thaw before i could install the carseat.
