Long shot, but I'll ask anyway

Does anyone know of a way to find out where someone is working in a specific city, that will take less time than waiting for that person to get off of work?

My mom's trying to reach one of her brothers, but she doesn't have his work number nor does she remember where he or his wife work. We have home number, but if we could get work number faster than waiting for him to get off work, we'd like to find that.

I think you need to know how to reach your relatives?

Can you google his name? Sometimes if you google somebody name, a work bio or something like that comes up.

Do you know the type of business? You could cross index the town with the type of industry and get it that way.

Do you know their full names? Do you have their home address?

We've got their full names, address, home phone, but she doesn't want to call his wife, she wants to call *him*. He works in some kind of employment counselling for some non-profit group in Las Vegas for people who have been layed off and that kind of thing. We don't know the name, nor do I even have a clue what to search for to *find* that kind of organization.

I did a search on his name and nothing came up employment wise.

I'm wracking my brain, trying to think of some way. Definitely try a google search, it might turn up something.

Do you know any of the wife's family....names and towns, that you could call information and get a number for?

Maybe search Social Service Organizations in Las Vegas...


There are bound to be tons. Then weed out the non revelant ones, and just start calling.

Attack it from the angle if you were an unemployed person in LasVegas seeking councelling. Do a search on that subject, in that town.

Go to http://www.switchboard.com and then pick a business category, type in the city & state and see what pops up. I use this constantly and it works great. Good luck!

The only thing I can think of is to tell her to try her other siblings. Maybe one of them can remember his employer. Maybe one of them would be more comfortable calling the brothers wife.

She has already spoken to her other brother, he doesn't know either.

Tammi, here are two unemployment counseling services in Las Vegas....you might want to maybe call and ask if they have anyone by your uncle's name working there..

I assume this has to do with the death of your father so I would call the local police in the town they are in. Tell them the story and the phone number/address of the brother. Possibly they would be willing to talk to a neighbor who might could give them information on where the brother works. Another suggestion would be the local red cross.
