Day 3, and neither one of us is feeling too well. DH is feeling like he's getting a sinus infection, and while my eye looks much better, it is really aching. I am tired of not being able to wear eye makeup, as I tend to have circles and need my concealer. There's only so much a hat can hide, as you ladies know. We were exhausted from our late night at MGM, and slept in until about 9:30. Then we dragged our unwashed selves out of bed, slapped some caps & clothes on, and headed to Spoodles for breakfast.

I had the Mickey waffles which were so cute, I photographed them. DH could not believe that I actually took a pic of my breakfast, even after I explained about the DIS and how we do stuff like that. I noticed no one else in the restaurant looked twice at me photographing my waffles--they were probably all too busy setting up their own shots. DH had french toast and bacon--I hope you all will overlook his mundane breakfast. Unlike me, he is not a child trapped in a 32-year-old body.

We then popped into a couple of stores where I got a box of taffy for the office and some Mickey pasta for my nice coworker. Then back to the hotel to lie around in our own filth for a couple more hours. Hey, we were TIRED. And you'll see why in another trip report or two, when we find out what is up with my pink eye, for real this time.

After showering (you don't have to thank me, we were glad to do it. It was no trouble, really) we went to Epcot so I could make another fruitless attempt to find my sunglasses. Then DH picked up a Wimbledon tee at the UK store (we got home to find the dye tag still on it, with the receipt tucked under it--nice job!) We also stopped to see Off Kilter, a new thing for both of us. I though they were pretty special, and DH liked it too. They are very sassy! They played It's A Small World & they all rotated like the characters on the ride. Funny stuff, trust me.

We went to France for lunch, and guess what I got? I can't get enough of that cheese plate, never mind how high my cholesterol is. I also got the Cake of the Day, which was a rich chocolate layer cake with fudgy frosting and raspberry goo. If you want to know if that was a good combo or not, you're on the wrong board. DH got a ham and cheese croissant, an apple tart, and a caramel-flan type dessert--he was not being greedy, just indecisive. I won't say more, but in case it takes me awhile to post the reviews and you're heading out...avoid the flan thing.

We then checked out some tame bunnies on the sidelines and did a photo shoot in Morrocco. All that tile is irresistible, and you know it. While I love Epcot, DH had Had Enough, and I could understand that. I will always remember how much it smelled like gardenias. I should probably say something now about there being some kind of Flower Festival at Epcot. Ok, there was some kind of Flower Festival at Epcot. They were pretty. They smelled good. Moving on...

We went back to the hotel to lie around in our own cleanliness for a couple of hours, and rest up for the late night doings at the MK. We caught a quick bus ride to the park & picked up our wristys from a nice CM just inside. We hit SM at 7:30 and rode it 2 times. The first time we got stuck in the back and I wasn't in a favor-asking mood. DH wanted to sit there anyway, turns out he likes that action. Then we got in the front car again, and I gave it up to DH again as he had been so nice about the whiplash seat. And hey, I was just happy to be there as you know. Then we rode the Wedway in the dark, always fun.

Now it was time to take the antibiotic we had picked up earlier (that I forgot to mention) for DH's sinus infection! Sorry about that. So we went to Cosmic Ray's (we may really like this place, you'll have to check my restaurant reviews to find out for sure!) where I had a burger & DH had a bacon cheeseburger and fries.

Now it was time for Wishes, which of course was new to both of us. We found a seat on the bridge between Fantasyland and the Castle and settled in for the 20 minutes until it started. WOW! Wishes is everything you have heard, and more. We stood and looked up at the tiny piece of dental floss coming from the Castle and going towards Tomorrowland, and I told DH I thought Tinkerbell might coast on it. "No way," he said. "Well, maybe I'm wrong," I said. Next thing we knew, a green neon Tink was scooting gracefully down the wire and DH was scrambling to take a picture. He was so disappointed with how it turned out, by the way. She's just a neon blur. But Wishes was worth it anyway, even though my legs and butt cheeks were numb after.

We then headed to Mickey Philharmagic, which had a long wait, way longer than they admitted. But it was cute and creative and we liked the smellovision. We then rode DH's favorite, HM, twice, and tried to get pics without the flash on. That didn't work, oh well. Dh was feeling pretty worn out by this point so I just popped in to a Christmas store and got a few souvies and we headed out. Nighttime in the MK with small crowds was a wonderful experience and I am so glad we did it. I am a big fan of the extra magic hours and prefer the nighttime ones. There's something magical about being in the parks after dark, when others have to leave. DH is never going to get up early enough for early entry, so I take what I can get!

On the way back on the bus, they were paving the roads. It was actually kind of cool--the pavement looked like it was on fire, like lava. I told you I was easily amused, but I enjoyed seeing it. I did not enjoy the 5 mile per hour pace this caused as we struggeld back through traffic to our hotel. Many hours (ok, minutes) later we got back to the Swan and fell into the Heavenly Bed.

DH chooses the agenda, so it's off to DTD we go!
