in August 2003 we had ressies at California Grille on our first night at WDW. I had planned them to coincide with the fireworks at MK - of course. We arrived on time....but the restaurant was nuts and we didn't get seated for 1.5 hours after our ressie. We were there from 7:00 until midnight.

It could have been a horror show with 2 teens and a 2 yr old.....but for our waiter. He knew what had happened before we sat down and showered us with attention and silliness. We should have gone back to our hotel at 10:30 or 11, but we stayed and finished our bottle of wine and had dessert just because he was so much fun. Of course we spent a lot of money and he got a HUGE tip, but it was well worth it. We talked about that dinner for a whole year. Our dinner at CG this past July was great too.....but last year was in a whole different category.

I couldn't find his card before this past July's trip....and had wanted to thank him. Just this week when I was going through old Disney papers and throwing stuff out - I found his card.

Our thanks go out to Ron Taylor at CG......he went above and beyond what was expected. He made the experience wonderful for us. Of course.....I have no idea if he's still there!!!!!!

:) :) :)
