I am packing right now- what do you guys usually pack for your little ones? My son is 2 and not used to having covers on him, are the rooms cold in that I should pack him long sleeves and pants, or short sleeves and shorts? I guess I should pack a little of both :confused3 Just trying not to overpack!

I usually did long pant/short sleeve pjs for my kids. I'd probably do shorts and adjust the thermostat if you think it's too cool in the room.

Lol, I literally just signed in to ask the same question! We are coming from Michigan so we could already be dressing our kids in their fleece footy pjs by the time we get to wdw next month. I'm thinking thin long sleeved/pants in case the a/c runs cool as most general hotels do. We are staying at the Caribbean, would love opinions on the Jammies too. Glad I'm not the only crazy mama worried about this!:rotfl:

Haha, yeah I was just blanking on this! Digging through all the clothes and trying to decide. Short sleeve and pants is probably a good combo if it is too hot he can just wear his diaper with no pants I guess or adjust the thermostat.

So depends on the time of year you go. WDW can be cold in winter. Last year it was really cold and when we got in at night we were so glad to get into our warm jammies! The temps in the rooms vary as to how hard there are to control. Most have day time sensors to conserve energy. I would have one pair of long pants, sleeves for any time of year in case the air is too cool or the heat too low, and then have an extra t-shirt or two that could be worn if the warmer PJs are too much. Some trips I have the cute disney JPs for DS6, and sometimes it ends up being the mis-matched sleep pants, t-shirts from his PJ drawer at home.

I am going to pack cotton long sleeve/pants jammies for our 2 year old on our trip. We like the room cool at night and she tends to kick off blankets.

Wr pack short sleeve/pant combo and a shorts combo.. My sons seem to prefer the shorts there for some reason...

We were there in Oct and April, and we did shorts and T-shirt Jammie's for our son. He runs hot when he sleeps, and loves to cover half his head with blankets. There was no way he'd be too cold.

A tip for a way to keep the air going while you're gone during the day. I read on the dis that if you leave a helium balloon floating in your room where the sensor will "sense" it then it will stay on while you're gone.

the a/c will be off while you are out b/c it only works sensing movement so you have to look up the bypass code for the thermostat control or get a balloon to float around the room. Our DD2 is used to fleece footed pajamas at home -year round, b/c we have the a/c set to keep her room at 68. -or the heat. she too does not use blankets correctly, so i dont want her too chilly. i did however, have the same concern. i bought a 2 pack of long sleeve cotton disney pajamas, with no feet to take in case the fleece is too hot for some reason. I plan to keep the room at 68. However, then like others say, they get their little one in pj's at the park that way when they fall asleep out, there is less waking involved without needing to change them... if you go the fleece route, then that would not be possible. -unless it is December at wdw.. that can be COLD!

We were thinking about doing the PJs in the park thing too (on the few nights that we are going to attempt staying out a little later. We leave in 13 days, so I think it is still pretty warm at night. I wish I had more pairs of t-shirt and pant combos for him!

Our daughter (also 2, well....2.5 if you are really counting!) sleeps in long-sleeves/pants, and when at Disney we bring the same. We find she sleeps better in cooler temps rather than keeping the room warm for her. Also, for us (not saying you should do this) we now keep a blanket (throw-sized) in the crib with her in case she gets chilly. Plus she LOVES to cuddle with it.
(additionally, you can adjust the thermostats to however you like it).

If you go to the pillow-pets website they have a new pillow-pet blanket that has a little stuffed animal head on the end, so when the blanket is over her she can snuggle with it. We have the unicorn and purple leopard. :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

Sorry, TMI.
But maybe this helps? :confused3

i just got the 30% off code for kohls, its fall30, and they have disney sleepwear, a lot of it.. i got one two pack, one of them is Ariel. you can also use the free shipping code, weshipfree. both codes are for cardholders. their shipping is a bit slow though. they have lots of disney sleepwear. they ended up being $8 per pair.

I have been putting DD2's baby blankets in her crib with her since last Dec. when we slept all night in her footed fleece without the sleepsack on top, so i put a baby blanket too. I folded up one Pooh blanket and laid it like a pillow and she lays on it like a pillow! She will toss around her blankets but i don't think she knows how to lay it over herself.
I got her a rapunzel toddler bedding set, but i'll wait until we turn her crib into a daybed before i put all that bedding in there.

as far as dressing for bed at the parks, i think if you follow the bedtime routine at home of putting on pj's at a certain time in the routine then it may be better to do at disney so there is a mini bedtime routine. that way if they fall asleep in the stroller or wherever, it may be good to have them wake up a little to do their routine... potty/story/pj's whatever it is, so that when they wake in their sleep cycles they'll remember where they are and that it is bedtime. It could be scary for them to have last remembered being in the loud theme park and now in a new hotel room and make them wake/cry at night. Just my two cents on that :)

Another trick with the A/C in the rooms, is that some of the resorts (I know CSR for sure, and I think Pop and AOA) have individual thermostats for central units. They are programmed to revert back to a warmer temp during the day, but you can bypass that. You push the "down" button and the power button at the same time and "bp" should appear on the digital display. Then, you can set the temp to whatever you want and it should stay there. You may have to repeat every 24 hours (goes back to default).

Didn't read through all responses so sorry if I am repeating.

We have been there all different times of the year and I always bring cotton long sleeves/pants pjs for DD.
