We we’re at MK yesterday and the was a really long line for 7DMT FP+. In curled around to where the reservation stand is for BOG. I’ve probably been to MK about 6 or 7 times since 7DMT opened and I’ve never seen the FP+ line anything close to that. We ended up skipping because the park was closing in a few hours and we had lots of other things we wanted to do. I’m not complaining, just never seen it like that before... is that normal?

The only thing I could think was that maybe it broke down or something right before we got there, but that didn’t seem to be the case. I feel like even if they ignored the standby line, it would still have been at least a 45 min wait for FP+.

No its not normal. When I've seen it like that before it was when it had broken down earlier in the day. When they reopend everyone piled in the fast pass queue and stand by queue, but they had a reduced number of cars on the track, making both queues huge! We missed SDMT for the same reason

Did you notice if the line was actually backed up to the CMs from the other side of it? We've seen it a few times both at 7DMT and BTMR where it was very backed up to get through the FP tap points but then once we were through we walked almost to the merge point. At BTMR we almost skipped it for that reason but it was just a tap point backup not a true line backup. Although all the way around to the BOG reservation desk seems a little long for that.

The one time I've ever had an exceptionally long line there was a few weeks ago from numerous rain delays causing it. Still didn't take that long as I doubt they were letting stand by in at the normal rate. when we got off the line was gone.

Normal? No. Has it happened? Yep, we've seen it a few times. As has been said, it's typically after the ride is down for whatever reason. At that point, they do almost all FP+, so the line will move pretty quickly.

I have seen this a number of times and most of the time the line is really long the CM at the FP standby point take a lot more FP people and the line moves so much faster.

I think it was last Wednesday when all the FP lines were crazy long. Splash and Thunder were partway across the bridge, Jungle Cruise was out to the Treehouse, Haunted Mansion was out to the boat dock, etc. It was really odd to see them all long through the park. I'm guessing part of it was because Space was down for hours and hours and so there were a ton of "any experience" FP in the system.

Wow, never seen the FP lines that long. I've seen it backed up before the turnstyles becasue of people having trouble tapping in, but then the line is short after that.

I wonder if people are rushing to use their 30-day paper rider swaps based on the recent rumors that those will no longer be honored starting mid-June...

Maybe the ride was down for a while and when something like this happens the people that were scheduled when the ride was down will come later and so the line gets longer :dogdance:

We have rode it several times with FP and there was no wait outside.

I've seen that happen when any FP ride breaks down early in the day and people can come back later to use that FP. Lines get backed up and negate the point of a FP. It just becomes a "pass"...not fast.

One day when we were there 7DMT was down most of the day. When it opened a lot of people, including us, used our anytime FP+ to ride. The CM was telling people in line that the anytime FP+ would only work if we had an actual FP+ for 7DMT. The line was long, but it moved really fast. I think the back up was from people having to scan their bands but once past that point, it really wasn't bad at all.

I think the system went down last Tuesday late morning. We were at HS and had a FP+ for Star Tours but the line was super long. Since DD and I rode it the night before we chose to skip it. I did hear a CM telling people the wait wasn't as long as it seemed.

I would imagine it had just reopened after being down as others have suggested. When we were there in May, it was down for a while on one of the days. We were coming off Pooh sometime shortly after it reopened and we saw a very long backup to scan bands.

On our FP day, we walked in and waited less than 5 minutes.
