Sorry in advance if this is not the correct place to post this but my DD (20) and I are planning a trip to London next May- We both have never been. Can anyone recommend a area to stay that is central, safe and near the underground- I assume thats the best way to get around? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Hi

We normally stay at Gloucester Road its on the Picadilly Line and is great area. Not busy and convenient tube station. We have stayed in both Millenium Baileys and Millenium Gloucester. Lovely hotels and its opposite the tube station. We have stayed here on several occassions and will not go elsewhere as the area is safe, excellent location on tube imo and excellent prices for a 4 and 5 star hotel for London.

Hope you have a great time.

Susan

We are going in a couple of weeks and again for New Year both trips with Superbreaks. They have loads of hotels to choose from and can include rail travel, and because I work for the NHS I've got 10% off. Sent you a PM
