Just had to share as I'm so giddy!
Every year myself and my 2 best friends go to London for the weekend and always stop in the same hotel as we have a Delux twin room with extra bed and there's still plenty of room for the 3 of us.
Anyway, last November we were put in a noisy room above the nightclub which when I book I always stress we want a quiet room. After the first night of not getting to sleep until 3am I asked if it would be possible to be moved to a quieter room and a great guy called Edgar got us an alternative room for the 2nd night and it was thanks to him that we will return again later this year.
I'm not one for writing in to complain but I often send letters when I think a firm/staff have gone out of there way to help. I wrote to the hotel asking if there was a staff reward scheme as I wanted to nominate Edgar and I gave a brief description of events.
To my suprise I got letter back from the MD saying he would personally thank Edgar on our behalf and also invited us back for a FREE night in the hotel any weekend over the next 6 month!
I'm so excited as now I get 2 trips away this year and we've requested to add a 2nd night on and we've been given this at a discounted rate.
I've managed to find some cheap rail tickets so I'm off to London 21-23 May - Rail from Leeds and 2 nights B&B for the grand total of £85! That can only mean more money for Champagne!!!
