My DD has said she would like to go and see Joseph in London for her birthday in July.

Can anybody recommend a nice central hotel. We would want a hotel with easy access to the main tourist areas, theatreland etc. The hotel room would need to accommodate 2 adults and a 14 year old. Any suggestions would be welcome as there seem to be hundreds of hotels to choose from. :confused3 We would probably come up by train into Waterloo.

Also which sights do you think a 14 year old would enjoy the most and any recommendations on where to eat?

The Mandarin Oriental - the best hotel in London, IMO. It's expensive but worth every penny and great for a special treat. It's the only place I have been where the staff are even more friendly and helpful than the best CMs at Disney. Beautiful rooms overlooking Hyde Park, a fantastic spa and a perfect location in Knightsbridge. Every single floor has a concierge-style desk with staff on hand to assist with reservations or anything else you need. The service is truly incredible, they will do literally anything to make your stay comfortable - really above-and-beyond.

We're Hilton Club timeshare members so stay at The Hilton on Park Lane as well - not as nice as the Mandarin, but still a nice place to stay.

As for sights, there are the usual places like the London Eye, Madame Tussauds, London Dungeon, Tower of London. The Science and Natural History Museums are really neat (and free admission...) and there is obviously lots of shopping to be done as well!

Hope you have a great trip and that your DD has a wonderful birthday! :goodvibes
