We had a terrible experience at Lombards.
They lost our order, even after asking numerous times where our food was. We finally got it over an hourand a quarter after we sat down. I can't count the number of times we asked our server (when we could find her) if our food was coming out soon. We finally had to track down a manager and ask him twice. It was finally determined that our server never turned in our order to the cook.
Never mind that the waitress was extremely surly. It took everything we had to remain polite as we watched people being seated, receiving their food and leaving while we were still waiting for our food.
Had food dumped on us twice by two different servers. Both servers dropped their trays and we were the lucky ones to catch the falls.
Husband was served a glass of water in a glass that was completely cracked around the bottom. He was extremely lucky that the bottom of the glass did not fall off while he was drinking it.
The excuse from the mgr was that this is common when you put ice in a glass and the waitress probably did not notice. This was a crack that was around the 95% of the center of the glass - all the way through. It was very hard to miss.
This all happened during the same sitting.
We filed a grievance with guest services. We usually have excellent service everywhere we go in Universal, but our experience at Lombards was inexcusable.
