I am planning a trip for January 2025. I would like to stay 5 nights in a two bedroom at BLT. This will probably be around 215 points. I will have 120 usable points from one contract, and 50 usable points from a different contract.

What is the easiest way to book this vacation? Each night is 43 points. Should I book 3 nights from one contract, 1 night from the other and ask a BLT owner to book the 5th night? Should I transfer all of my points to one contract and then ask a BLT owner to book one night? Can I transfer points from one contract to the other and then ask another owner to transfer points to my account so that all five nights are under one booking?

Any other options I haven’t thought of? Thank you for your input!

If your contracts are in the same membership, then there is no transfer. You just select both contracts when booking.

If they are different memberships, you can transfer the points from one to the other to keep every in one reservation, plus you need to do that to get four nights since 120 will only get your two and the 50 gets you one.

The problem with transferring such a small amount is finding a BLT owner who wants to do that…probably best to plan on finding someone to rent you the one night.

Thank you for your response! I am the owner of both contracts but they are different use years. So I won’t need to transfer the points?

You will need to transfer since you have two memberships. The key then is to make sure that the ones you transfer don’t need to be borrowed to book as they will retain their own UY, and transferred points can’t be borrowed.

If you share the two UYs you have, I can give you the exact info.

Thank you again for your response. I guess I will need a plan b because I was planning to use borrowed points from both contracts. I might do a split stay somewhere with fewer points per night.

Are you saying the 120 and the 50 above include borrowed points?

If so, then yes, you’ll have to book some nights on each and then use rental or transfer for the rest.

You’ll just have to ask MS to note it that all the reservations are part of a consecutive stay.

Have you looked into buying one-time-use points? Since you have two contracts, you have two sets of these to work with each year.

Just to clarify, it’s because they have two memberships, not contracts, that gives them access to more OTU points.

If the contracts were in the same membership, it would be the max of 24. Of course, this would mean waiting until 7 months to book add extra nights with them.

Thanks for that clarification!!!! :)
