Unfortunately, I think the only day my family can head to DLR for Christmas is this Sunday, the 7th. We're AP holders, but have never been when the CP is happening. How do we cope with the crowds on Main Street? Our must do's are all the holiday specific stuff, and probably Baymax. I was thinking DL until after the parade, then hop to DCA. Would seeing the 3:30 parade be pushing it to avoid crowds? Is it possible to hop back for the fireworks and not be mobbed?

This is all assuming we decide not to watch. I just wanted to have a plan, just in case!

If you watch the parade from Town Square you can make a quick getaway. If you want to avoid Main St altogether, you could watch the parade from somewhere towards the end of the route in FL, then hop the monorail out of the park and walk back to DCA through DTD.

If you don't mind not seeing the castle, you can also view the fireworks from DCA (we like BVS or Cars Land). That way, just in case you don't want to hop back to DL, you could still see fireworks.
