Our check-in is days away and I'm not sure whether to get the fruit and water or the cookies and milk. If you've had them, what are each like? Also, we're staying 2 nights at RPR and then going to the HRH for one night. Does that mean we'll get 2 of these packages and two gifts for my daughter's A's grade cards??

The water is Fiji water, and it's wonderful. The fruit we had were grapes, apples, oranges, and a mango. It was quite a bit of fruit, and I believe it was two big bottles of water.

edit, just remembered that you also get a nice jar of cashews. I kept the glass jar, as it was one of those kewl ones with the tight sealed hinged glass top :)

We did the cookies and milk on another trip, and they were good as well. Huge cookies, about 4 or 5 I think,, and a huge pitcher of ice cold milk. Will probably do that again this next trip, because the girls will be with us, otherwise, I like the fruit.

I had 2 rooms booked at RPR and recieved 2 welcome gifts. I got cookies and milk for the kids- huge cookies and big pitcher of milk on ice, then I got the heiniken package for DH. That turned out to be 2 bottles of bud in an ice bucket with a coconut container filled with nuts. Both were great.

We had two rooms at the HRH and only received one welcoming gift. The children did not receive any free gifts. They did participate in the grade A report card program that got them free sodas at the pool but not at the Sunset Grill.

Just don't drink the wrong water bottle. They left one in our room at the RPR that had a price tag of I think $8 on it. I was scared to move it on the dresser at that price.

We just returned from RPR and received the fruit and water. We got a banana, orange, green apple, red apple, grapes, strawberries and a weird looking pear. The water was a large glass bottle of Evian. Last August we choose the fruit and water and received 3 bottles of the Fiji water and more exotic fruits.

You should receive a welcome gift at both hotels since they are separate stays. But I have read here that HRH is sporadic about giving the gifts. As for the gifts for the kids, at RPR they give out sand buckets. We didn't ask about the Grade A program because the child who traveled with us didn't have his grade card yet. It is separate from the welcome gift and supposedly with the report card the kids get free drinks in the hotel. We did ask about it last August at RPR and were only given a coupon for free dessert at Islands (but you had to purchase dinner to receive it).

Don't confuse the free glass bottle of Evian with the $7 bottle of Evian that will be next to your TV. We hid ours behind the TV and were charged for it ($8.57 total). I called the front desk and it was taken off our bill quickly.

Just back from RPR and they have quit the Grade A Kids program. We stayed one night then one night off site then back for a night so we received 2 welcome gifts. We have had 2 rooms in the past and received a welcome gift for both but only for the first night. I never thought that made sense. Wouldn't Loews want to encourage and reward a party staying more than one night?
The first night we got the Regional Gift which is a baskest with inedible Polynesian candy and a neat shell with the RPR logo carved in it. The second night we got the cookies and milk. Two large chocolate chips cookies and one large oatmeal raisin. The milk is in a cellophane covered glass pitcher in a ice filled glass bucket. The milk was ice cold and both were delicious. The only problem was they woke us up to deliver it. I thought the rooms were "smart" and they weren't supposed to come in or bother an occupied room? Good thing I was wearing my Red Fish, Blue Fish pajamas!

Does the report card have to have all A's on it? My son will received his first ever C or B (we are not positive yet of the grade) for his advance algebra class. All A's with that exception.

Also, we are Loew's members and I did fill out the online form stating that we prefer the Coor's and Nuts package. Do we need to call ahead of time, or should the gift just be in our room at PBH?

We have a Wyndham by request membership where they have the same program. No gift in our room for our last visit to the El Conquistador in Puerto Rico. :( Juast wondering if we should have called ahead of our visit?

They ask you at check in what you want for a welcome gift. I've been shorted the gift at PBH and they gave me $10 off the mini bar at check out.
The Grade A Kids program has allowed a couple of B's in the past but RPR is not participating but PBH might still be.

We just got back from RPR & got fruit & water for only one of our rooms and only after we called them, even though they confirmed the request by phone when I called before leaving for Orlando & then re-confirmed at check-in. Didn't get the fruit or water until late afternoon the night before we were checking out.

The wine is pretty nice as well I kept the corkscrew as a little souveneir:jester:
