Loews Grade A Program

Can anyone give me details about this program? I thought that to qualify, your DS/DD needed stragight A's, but I saw on Kelly Monaghan's site that the report card only needs one A on it? Is there an age limit (i.e., under 18)?

I looked for the program on Loew's Web site, also the HRH and PHB sites, but can't find it. Was this advertised anywhere?

BTW, do they only accept american report cards ?

As some of you might have figured out, I'm form Germany.
I got only one A on my report card (English teacher said he sees no way hot to give me an A; at least I got an B+ )

Do you think they'll take my report card? Even if it's in German?
I gonna translate it into English, if it helps them.

We qualified for the program and my son is in Kindergarten. He has S's and O's, but then again the receptionist never looked at his report card. I kept asking if she needed to see it, but she said no. Nor did she ask to see my Ent. card. She did take my Loew's First card. He received free drinks and dessert at the hotel's restaurants. On one occassion they didn't charge any of us for our drinks.

Do you have to be a Loews Card member, or can you get it without beeing a member ?

I heard people saying they gave nothingto them (actually to their children) 'cause they booked via special travel agencies and/or got special rates.

We booked via expedia/travelscape, so can we expect to get those great "gift" ?

We only ate at one of the hotel restaurants only once, but they wouldn't give the kids dessert even after we asked them about it.

This was at Trattoria in Portofino. It seems like Loews is not running this program very effectively!?

They did get free sodas.

When we stayed at the RPH last month, they weren't prepared for the program, so they gave us one breakfast buffet coupon per day of our stay for the child and two free drinks in the bar. It was great. The coupons were good for children or adults as well as were the coupons. We used them for all of us to eat at the buffet two mornings and we used the drink coupons for pina coladas at the bar!

They didn't have the wristbands when we went last week. What they did was give my son a room key card with his name on it that said "Grade A Kid". None of the restaurants gave us a problem with the free drinks or dessert. If I were you I would ask about when I checked in, the worse they can say is no.

I would also like to know about the age requirement. I have two "A" students in highschool and one in elem. school, but free drinks and desserts would definitely help with our bill.....but I don't know if the highschoolers would wear a wristband

A few more questions -

Winston, what hotel did you stay at? I like the room key idea better than the wristband!

Where can you get free drinks/desserts - at all of the hotels or only the one you're staying at?

I read somewhere that the program entitles parents to free coffee - is this true? I assume we'll need one of our kids to be with us to get this perk?

And finally - does only one A really qualify? One of my boys only has a few A's on his report card - I want to make sure he still qualifies!

We stayed at the RPR 7/17-7/22/02. We got the free drinks and dessert at the RPR restaurants and at the Sunset Grill at HRH. I don't know about the free coffe for parents, I wish I had thought to ask. When we checked in I asked about the program and she just gave it to us. I had my son's report card in my hand, but she never asked to look at it. But from what other on the boards have said, it seems to depend on who you get at check-in.
