 THEY REALLY DONT TAKE CARE OF MEMBERS i'm a platinum member and quite frankly any upgrade they offer can be gotten with any special rate {aaa fla ap} they cant upgrade you to a suite if you are a familly of 4. i ended up spending $10 more a night in dec. than the fla. rate. when i just called about early june they were insultingly uncooperative with any upgrade,{im platinum, but cant get a suite so they offered me a water view at more $60 more than the fla rate, i live in fla) NOT HAPPY AT ALL WITH LOEWS

Which hotel are you talking about? I believe that the only suites that RPR has are king suites and they won't accomodate more than 3. PBH has suites and deluxe rooms that will accomodate up to 5. Your platinum status will get you a suite at PBH that would accomodate your family.

Yes, the Portofino suites are great for families of 5 because they have two queen beds, a pull out and two bathrooms.

For a family of 4 you would have to stay at PBH for your suite upgrade. Also, don't forget as a platinum member you get a $100 room credit which will offset the $70 higher room rate. We are staying in March at RPR with 4 people in the room. It is a budget trip with my niece (and two great nieces) who is paying and she opted to give up a suite at PBH to stay in a waterview room at RPR. The extra room will be missed but we will still come out ahead with the $100 room credit.

You also get free internet with gold and platinum levels.

One of the things that is very important with platinum if you expect to get your suite upgrade, is to call early enough to guarantee that suites are still available. Calling in Feb. for a busy June may have been your problem.

thanks for the responses, we've always stayed at rpr, may be it's time to check out pbh. it is the first week of june, before the busy season starts.

damo, you are so right!!

I called in January to make a ressie for 5-6 nights for PBH for the Columbus day weekend period. Yea, that's mid October.

I have the platinum Loews membership and requested to have the free upgrade to the suite.

They don't have any upgrades available for my dates.
all of them are already booked.....

I called again last night to see if there were any cancellations. Still booked solid for my time period.

I can book a standard room at pbh, but no upgrade.

In January when I called to make the ressie, I finally booked with RPH and will get the king suite for the upgrade.

Some dates in the year are hard to get the free upgrades.
October with HHN and a weekend holiday fill rooms faster now.

I was told by PBH tm that there are a couple of conventions going on at that hotel for my same dates I wanted to stay there.
Add that with HHN, and it means I will be staying at RPH this year.
