Loews Card Perks With Discounted Rate?

Is it true that you won't get the Loews First Card perks if your reservation is with a discounted rate,(Entertainment, Fan Club Card rates.)? Just wondering so I won't be shocked if I don't get them.

I can tell you that we were not entitled to our welcome gift because we booked with a discounted rate (hotelkingdom.com), but we did have our stay applied toward gold status.

I think it depends upon who checks you in and what kind of day they are having. Others haven't reported any problems getting their perks, even with booking a discounted rate.

I have stayed at RPR 4 times using discounted rates (Entertainment rate once and APH rate 3 times) and each time I received the Loews welcome gift and my stays counted towards being upgraded to gold status. According to what some say, I may just be lucky.

I don't think we will ever know the true answer to this question. Technically if you book with a disount you are not entitled to the welcome amenity and your stay is not a qualified one. On each of my 18 stays, I have booked using a discount usually FLO or APH. I have never been denied my welcome amenity and I always recieve AAdvantage miles and credit for my stays. Others report the exact opposite.

We've stayed at the RP two years in a row using the Entertainment rate. The first year, no perks, we were told we didn't qualify. Last year, we received our welcome gift and all other perks.

I hope someone can answer this question, how do you know if your stays have been credited? I don't see anywhere on the Loews website to check this.

I can tell if they gave me credit for my stays based on my AAdvantage miles being awarded. You can always call Loews First Customer Service and ask. Just say you would like to make sure you received credit for your stays.

The same happens with me, one person told me that I couldn't get them and then I e-mailed them about a week later and they said "I'll add your number to your account." but - I highly doubt that its there. Even the people at Loews Corp. don't know whats going on, or what rewards they are offering.

We stayed at the HRH 5/29-6/4 and were denied our welcome gift b/c we booked at a discounted rate (ENT)after being offered it

Yeah - It sucks that you don't get the rewards. I mean, we are paying out the butt to get this hotel, we should get something.

We just returned from Universal and we stayed at RPR on two seperate nights with the APH discount and received our welcome gifts both nights.

I got all of my benifits. I got my welcome gift. the Advantage miles ( only took ten days for my miles to show on my advantage miles ) and all the other little odds and ends. But I am not sure if they qualified my stays or not to get my gold card. I should be a gold by now. We were at RP May 24-29, 2004.

I've always booked either entertainment or APH rates and so far have always received my "perks" including being upgraded from blue to gold, and now just today from gold to platinum!!

Kimberlyfamilyfv - Our trip was in early May and just today I received my platinum card upgrade!! I was thrilled since I wasn't expecting it due to booking with an APH rate. If your trip wasn't til the end of May, I would expect your gold card to come sometime near the end of June. Here's hoping you get it!!!

We were at HRH last week, booked with the APH rate and we were told that we would not be eligible for the Loews First perks since we had a discounted rate. Except they did say we could use the fitness room - who really uses fitness rooms on vacation! Not me, that's for sure.

We didn't get ours either last month and we booked with the APH rate at the RPR.
