Lodging choices for party of 10??

My family has been to DL more times that we can count, but never with a group this big. We will actually be gramma & grampa, then 2 families of 4. Does anyone have any suggestions for a good place to stay where we don't need to get 3 seperate regular rooms, but will still accomodate 10 people? Maybe 2 adjoining suites that are open/large enough that gramma & grampa don't feel like they are choosing families.

Tropicana has some large suites, some even with cooking facilities.

If you belong to AAA, the California tour book shows layouts for many rooms that will accommodate that many people.

We have 6 in our family. We have stayed at the Staybridge Suites in a 1 bedroom for 5 days. They have 2 bedrooms that would probably accomodate you. Full kitchen, etc. Breakfast is included and they have snacks at night. Nice pool, jacuzzi, basketball court. An ART stop is right in front of next hotel (about 50 yards) and is VERY convenient. Have fun!

I think if you use one of the booking search engines (hotels.com, lodging.com, etc) you can put in the number in your party and it will show hotels that can accommodate you...might be a place to start and then search for the best price once you've decided on a place.

Try the Homewood Suites on Harbor & Chapman. If you get a standard accomodation with two beds, you can sleep six if two sleep in the sofabed.

At the Hyatt near the same cross streets, they have a "kid suite" room that sleeps 5 - there is one queen sized bed, bunk beds + a single "chair bed".

Depending on how long you'll be together, I'd still get 3 separate rooms. Ten people in one large suite is still a LOT of togetherness! And 3 bathrooms are better than 1 or 2.

Thanks guys! I'll look into all of those (including seperate rooms) We are pretty hard core DL people, so we tend to spend ALL of our time at the park. We have traveled & stayed in the same place with grandparents many times, but we will be introducing my brother & his family into the mix this time. We'll do some investigating & see what everyone wants to do. We aren't planning on going until Feb anyway.

We are staying at Embassy Suites in Garden Grove. There will be five of us (2 adults, 3 children.) I stayed there last time with my mom and 2 kids and my ex-MIL had an adjoining suite and we just kept the door open all the time between the two.

The Desert Inn and Suites is right across the street from DL and they have suites that fit 10 people. I have not stayed there yet but we are leaving in 23 days and will be staying there. I wanted close to the park with a big room- (8 going). We have 2 little legs and wanted to be close this time without using ART.
We are all sooooooooooo ready to go!
