Sorry to be a ditz-but it's early and I've got a sinus headache(whine, whine) so I'm not thinking too well today!! Please forgive the repeat question!

My parents will be joining us for our Oct. trip-I wanted to get a two bedroom, but I still wanted us to each have our privacy(pretty much just a studio connected to our one bedroom). I told MS that I wanted a lock-off, is that right?

Thanks-
Jennifer

Yes, if you have a lock-off, you and your parents will each have your own entrance from the hallway.

Hope your headache gets better soon!

A "lock-off" is basically a Studio & a 1-bedroom combined. the door connecting the Studio to the living room area of the 1-bedroom can be closed and locked. It's similiar to the door you would find in a regular hotel room which separates two adjacent rooms.

The Studio in a 2-bedroom "lock-off" also has its own door to the hallway, so that whoever resides in the Studio can come and go, without having to go through the living room of the 1-bedroom.

In a "dedicated" 2-bedroom, the Studio (or 2nd bedroom) does NOT have its own door to the hallway. But, of course, there is a door to the living room (to close for privacy).

The "dedicated" 2-bedroom is more appropriate (and safer) for families with children (where the children are sleeping in the 2nd bedroom).

It's all a matter of preference.
