I'm sure this has been answered elsewhere, but I do NOT like spoilers! I don't even read book jackets LOL. I haven't looked at any pictures and I've been running out of the room when the commercials come on. I saw the beginnings of the steel when we were there the day before Transformers soft openings started (great timing, huh?), and haven't looked at anything since!!

But I do need to ask about lockers for Gringott's. Is it a similar setup to FJ? I assume you CAN have your bags on HE? Going in October; can't wait!!! TIA!

Lockers at Gringotts pretty much the same as FJ. No lockers needed for HE.

Ok, thanks!!! Will it be obvious as I enter the line where they are? Also, on FJ I was able to walk the queue up to the sorting hat with my camera, then bail out of line (then dumped it in a locker and got back in line). Is there a similar setup here?

They're actually before you enter the line. They're off to the right hand side when you're facing the entrance.

I'll have to get back to you on the second question if someone else can't answer it.

Would it be possible to keep my Kindle with me as long as I could tuck it into a pocket? I'm going solo and want something to keep me occupied!

If it fits in a pocket and not blocking the restraint then you should be fine.

Will those "Fanny Pack" style hip bags be ok? or Cross body Bags allowed on the EFG or FJ? I know I should store big backpacks but what are the restraints like on these rides?

Clearly I'm a newbie to theme parks I've only ever been to Six Flags so I had no idea about any of this. I guess I just assumed we would cram them in our seats with us. I'll be bringing a crossbody purse and my husband will have backpack. I assume since they wont fit in our pocket we will be checking these for multiple rides. With these lockers do you get a code or do I need to bring a lock with me?

no lock is needed.
you do a thumb print to lock up(and later open) your belongings in the locker.

fanny packs/ waistpacks with 3 prong clasp are ok..NO crossbody, wristlet, sling or backpack style at all

We are planning out first trip to Universal in August. I was confused about the fanny pack question as I had read several conflicting posts about it. I called guest services yesterday and asked specifically about the 2 Harry Potter rides (we want to avoid the lockers). I asked if small 3 prong fanny packs were allowed and he said no, he said it had been a gray area in the past but they were no longer allowed. I am guessing we will see lots of people with fanny packs but I am scared of being sent back to the lockers after waiting in line so long!

And you actually put your bag in the lockers about half way thru the Queue - once you have made it though the outdoor queue and are ready to enter the actual bank portion of the queue they give one person in your party a ticket and allow them to go put everybody's items into a locker, then the ticket lets them enter the bank and rejoin their party in the indoor queue. So just get in line, you'll deal with lockers later on!
