Lockers for carry-on suitcase?

I'm not certain, but almost every hotel should be able to just hold your luggage for you for free if it is before your check-in or after your check-out. That would not only save you money, but also the hassle of having to open up your suitcase at security while they look through your belongings.

I don't know about the ones *in* the park, but there are also lockers outside of DL to the left of the turnstiles, but more importantly there are BIG lockers outside of the esplanade. You want to be on the DTD side, looking towards the bag check, and you go to your left. There's a picnic area behind some tall thin trees, and there are big lockers. The Jumbo size could have fit a regular suitcase in there...it dwarfed my official-carry-on size bag and the bag I was using as a carryon. So you shouldn't even need the Jumbo size, but I'd go over there instead of trying for the other, probably smaller, lockers.

Have fun! And remember that if you have to go through bag check with it to get to the lockers, you'll have to open things up for the CMs.

I just returned and wanted to let people know my experience with the lockers. Yes, a standard, wheeled carry-on suitcase fits in the jumbo size locker (it may have fit in the large size but I didn't want to chance it not fitting, plus I had a large tote bag as well..). The only problem besides opening it for security was that I had to be escorted to the lockers by a "runner". When I had to leave, since I was exiting opposite the lockers (not on the Downtown Disney side), I had to go through security again and be escorted by a runner again.

I was able to swipe a credit card. I believe it was $15 for the jumbo sized locker for the day.

I wasn't staying in a hotel and was dropped off and picked up so I needed the locker. Hope this helps others.

That's cool that they have someone to escort you!

When I did it I had taken the first train from San Diego and was leaving that evening from Orange County Airport, so, like you, no hotel. I tried to get DLH to take my bag, but they said no. Eh, worth a try. :)

So I was lucky in that I just walked through from the Disneyland Hotel (where the cab dropped me) and didn't have to enter the secure area at all, and then I had the shuttle pick me up from DLH at night.

So it's good to know they have someone to walk you through!
