Hello

Which rides require carryons be put in a locker for both parks at Universal? Or is there the list you can direct me to.

Thanks

I always carry a backpack on to all of the rides in WDW. There is always a place to store it, mostly under my legs. We have never had to use a locker. Just try not to carry anything too bulky and you should be fine.

Unfortunately this isn't the case at US. I don't remember all the rides but it seems like if the ride even remotely coaster like you will need to store your stuff in a locker. Basically, if the ride had lockers outside of it, then you need to use them.

I know Men in Black requires that you store stuff in lockers. And of course, The Forbidden Journey. I know there are a couple of others but I can't think of them off hand.

Rides that require lockers:
Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit (USF)
Revenge of the Mummy (USF)
Men in Black (USF)
The Incredible Hulk Coaster (IOA)
Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey (IOA)
Dragon Challenge (IOA)

That's not too long of a list. Got my cargo pants, so should be ready to go!

Thanks for the information.

The water rides (Ripsaw Falls, Popeye & Blutos, Jurassic Park) have lockers available to use at a $3/hr rate. You can bring your stuff on these rides, but they may get wet.

Cargo shorts + plastic ziploc bags = great success.

more locker questions....
do we need quarters or dollar bills?
are you allowed to keep your camera and/or bag with you (specifically on FJ?)
thanks!

From the list above you cannot take anything on the ride, but the lockers are free for I think 45 mins on those rides. I understand FJ may let you take a small fanny pack.

Thanks for the response, I am thinking/assuming/hoping a small camera should be okay for FJ since we have seen pics posted here of the queue.

I believe you can use quarters and bills. Bills are usually easier though.

You can keep your camera with you if it's small enough to fit in the seat compartment on FJ.

The lockers are free based on the wait time. If it's like a 5 minute wait, the locker free period is around 20 minutes. I've seen the line for FJ at 75 minutes with a locker free period of 6 hours. It just varies. :)

What happens if the wait is longer than the locker time...do you have to pay to get your stuff back?

The length of time the locker is free depends upon the current wait time. If you only ride once, you should have time to retrieve your belongings before your time is up.

The locker time will always be longer than the wait time.

However, if the ride breaks down and you go over locker time, the locker attendant is usually in the know. You just have to tell him/her what happened and they will unlock your locker for you for free.
