I know wearing a small cross the chest purse at FJ will earn you a trip to the lockers... which other rides in IOA would require a locker in this case?

wear a waist pack and you can get on all the rides in both parks. Baggallini has quite a few. :thumbsup2

However if you wear the above you mentioned be prepared to locker at MIB(universal), Hulk (IOA) and Dragon (IOA). Can't remember, maybe Mummy? (Universal)

Hulk and Dragon Challenge are the only other two at IoA. :thumbsup2

At the Studios, Mummy, MiB, and HRRR.

Cargo shorts are best for locker avoidance. :cool2:

I have to chuckle a little - you ARE both guys. Some of us have families that need things carried (medication especially). I like the cargo shorts a great deal when traveling without the rest of the clan!:rotfl:

Just returned - waist pack worked like a charm on every ride in both parks.

Hey, I'm a female. I wouldn't be caught dead wearing cargo shorts around here, but after dealing with the lockers my first trip to Universal, I came back home, went on ebay, and found me a week's supply of cargo shorts. They are all I'll wear to Universal now. I have a small camera in one pocket, my cell phone in another, then a little divider thingy that holds ID, CC, park ticket, and a little cash in a front pocket. The other front pocket holds a small bandaid antiblister stick, a lip balm, and a small 5gr jar that has a few pills in it.

I used to always carry a small Vera Bradley mini hipster into the parks at WDW, but now I usually just wear the cargo shorts over there too. I love going bagless. My husband and I took our 3 y/o GS to WDW this past Feb and still went bagless (other than a clear ziplock in the bottom of his stroller that held his autograph book, pen, and a couple of autograph mats). Not once did we miss not having something in the parks.

Just an FYI...Depending on the waist pack, the size of it and frankly the TM on the ride, you might have to lock it up too.I had a small vera Bradley on and had to lock it up once but was allowed to keep it a few times. Small waist packs should be ok, but I saw people with waist packs the size of a small 3 yr old try and get on the rides

What about a very small backpack? I just got a very small lightweight one a few hours ago, because I thought it'd be okay when going on the three locker rides. I tried putting everything I'll have when on the trip in the bag and put the strap on one shoulder so it doesn't fall, then tucked it behind my back. It was not uncomfortable at all and I figured it'd be fine. I just don't know what the TM will say when I come up to get on the ride with the little bag, which I feel won't inferfere much with the safety harnesses.

Will they make me lock it up? Thanks!

I've not heard of any leeway with backpacks. You will almost certainly be directed to a locker to stow it.

probably......

back packs will need to go in a locker for some of the rides.

My Mom'll be there. She says that I can call her whenever I may need her to hold my bag, which'll probably only be three or four times. Other than that I'll be fine. The bag will be okay on the water rides, as it's waterproof.

By the by, where do you put bags when riding Dr. Doom? Watched a video and took a look at the cars and didn't see a spot to put anything.

Thanks.

Not ridden it myself, but I'm thinking you can keep your stuff in the load/unload area, as I doubt anybody has access there while you ride.

If it can't be reasonably hidden under a shirt so that the TM won't see it, it will likely be too large, and off to the lockers you will be sent.

I saw backpacks, even tiny ones directed to lockers. I think the mentality of the waist pack is that it is attached to the body and not going anywhere.

in the ride room where the dr doom seats are, look at the wall.
you will see boxes there where you can store your belongings.
it will hold small items only.
you leave the bags, packs, etc on the floor by that wall.

the rooms are locked when are on the ride, only the TM can get in each section.
very safe, no worries.

?..

Hey...watch what you say about my "waist pack". :stir:

I still haven't felt the need to actually pack the kitchen sink.
Yet.
;)

Just back..... everyone carrying anything was directed to the lockers.

Day 1, I wore a cargo skirt, totally overstuffed the pockets, and felt like I was wearing saddlebags! Ug.

Day 2..... DS was too scared to ride FJ a second time, so we were doing Child Swap. That worked out GREAT - if you have a non-rider, you can bring whatever you want with you and leave it with them in the swap room. :thumbsup2 (It also seemed like we got to cut a tiny bit of the line at the end, when they directed us to the room and a separate line for swappers... but, then again, it was a particularly uncrowded day.)
