Someone in another Disney group just mentioned that (as concierge guests) they were held in the lounge about 20 minutes for a lockdown at the terminal. Just wondering if that has happened to anyone or if anyone knows what would cause a lockdown?

Have not personally had it happen, but just like any public area a suspicious package, suspicious activity (someone not supposed to be past a certain point getting past), credible threats...a vehicle backfiring being mistaken for gunfire (yes, that one happened in NYC and caused the evacuation of 2 theatres). Sadly this is the world we live in where it is better to lockdown and investigate suspicious stuff than not.

We were on a back to back out of Miami and were locked down in the lounge for an hour due to activity in the terminal. We then were permitted to get off the ship and go thru checking in for our second leg. We never found out what caused the delay.

We got off the 3 night Fantasy yesterday and on embarkation day everything was delayed (boarding, rooms being ready, etc) due to the coast guard being onboard. Maybe that delayed disembarkation too if they had been on the prior 11 night 🤷‍♀️

That would not have caused a lockdown though. Lockdown indicates there was something happening/around at that moment that needed to be investigated to ensure passenger safety.
