We just finished another vacation with multiple days hanging out at Sea World. We experimented with Reflections and the different locations. We did several shows at the stadium and it was wonderful. This is where we spent the fourth of July.
On our last day we decided to try something different. We had a late start and, being on the dining plan, decided to have a late dinner. We got a table at the Spice Mill and had dinner while we were waiting for the show and then watched the show.
The good part of it was that it was very relaxing. For the fourth of July, we had staked out a section at 8:00 for a 10:30 show. The wait was long but the shows were both wonderful.
For the show on this night, we got to the Spice Mill at about 9:15 and enjoyed dinner and the desserts. The strawberries were SO good. We were not sure if we would be done before the show would begin and the younger kids probably would not have hung around for a long time. We finished at about 9:40 PM and so we barely had any real wait before the show began.
The water sections are directly in front of the Spice Mill. With your chairs pointed toward Bayside Stadiium, the water show is to your left. You can see 95% of the fireworks without any issue.
My wife and I agreed that the experience is very different but enjoyable. If you want to see the show and have the pure Reflections experience - go to the stadium.
I often travel down to Orlando on business and will pop into Sea World at night for dinner and to visit Shamu. Versus dealing with the crowds, I could easily see the benefit to going over to the waterfront and watching the show from there.
