locations for characters

I am a long LONG time disney visitor .........but a very long time since I took my kids as LITTLE kids...(they are 21yr and 23yr)....co-worker is taking for first time her young 3yr daughter......who will want to have photos taken with the princesses...............are there particular spots where they can be seen? Is it hit and miss with the times?

Princesses can be found at DL at the Princess Faire. They don't appear out by the castle anymore. Your friend may want to consider a Princess breakfast or lunch at Ariel's Grotto at DCA. It is hosted by Ariel and several princesses come to your table while you are eating for photo ops.

Other places to catch a princess outside the PFFT:

Drawn to the Magic show in DCA (always 1 princess appears in this show and greets after)
Aladdin & Jasmine's Storytime at Aladdin's Oasis (at least until the new Indy show starts in late May)

Yes they do. You get to see about 5 princess characters during one meal, instead of standing in 5 different lines. Besides, characters like the Fairy Godmother do not usually appear out in the parks.
