Location selection on Dream - fore/aft vs. GTY

Hi all, I'm looking to take a friend on a 3 day this spring on the Dream as it would be her first time cruising. I've been on the Fantasy twice but not the Dream. As far as booking rooms, for the category I want it only allows me to select fore or aft. When looking online I see it allows me to select a particular room (which I never had the option to do before when looking online for the Fantasy bookings) in those sections. Personally, I don’t have a preference of section, but after hearing some (mild) horror stories about excessive vibrations in the fore or aft sections, I’m slightly concerned and wondering which section would be best? My original thought was to go GTY but if one section is noticeably worse than the other, I run the risk of getting put in that section if there's no upgrade, and I do realized an upgrade for GTY is not guaranteed. So based on your experiences, what would you recommend – go GTY, or select fore or aft?

Fore if you don't like vibrations. Oh wait, ...
But the Dream has less vibrations aft than the Fantasy, so ...

Aft for access to Cabanas for food and beverage.

Fore for quicker access to adult areas.

Midship elevators can get busy. So using fore or aft elevators could be advantageous.

When you say aft, are implying stern, aft facing cabins?
Now that may be worth consideration. Many covet the direct aft views. Others don't.

GTY won't save $. IGT, OGT, VGT may save $ at the last minute. Both those categories are assigned by DCL wherever aboard, possibly at the last minute. You can't choose location. Could get an upgrade, on both, but likely not.

I'd recommend booking a specific cabin of you choice, if available.

If you can pick a cabin, pick one, with cabins above and below, and hope you have quiet neighbors.
