We are going to WDW in June, and I have a ressie for 3 nights at AllStar Movies, preferred rooms (all that was available with AP rate). I have requested connecting rooms--one for me, DH DD, age 4 and DS age 3. The other room will be for DH's mother and sister. We have stayed at AllStar Movies before--once in a Dalmation building, and once in a Woody building, and, our kids really liked the theming. Not sure I want to keep calling CRO about Movies AP rate availability for regular rooms. They did have availability at Music & Sports, but, I want Movies for my little kids.
I think the preferred buildings are "Fantasia" and was wondering what people think of them? For those of you familiar with "preferred" room locations, what would you suggest for connecting room location? I've requested 3rd floor rooms in the past based on postings about the flushing toilet noise, privacy, etc. I think for this trip, we are going to request a ground floor location.
Thanks for any imput you can provide!:)

I am pretty sure the entire Fantasia building (both of them - one is smoking and one is non smoking) are considered preferred. So since you want connecting rooms I think you are at the mercy of where the connecting rooms are in the building and what is available.

We have stayed in Fantasia twice and really liked it. We have also done connecting rooms twice (once in Dalmatians and once in Sports/Touchdown). I will say we have gone to requesting first floor though since it makes it easier for bringing in the luggage and such and not having to bother with steps with the kids.

Anyway if I were you and connecting is what you really want I would just list that as your top priority.

Thanks for the reply TravelLiz! Yes, the connecting rooms will be the main request. Probably won't matter about location so much...except, I do want to try for the ground floor with our larger group.

Any other experiences with "Fantasia" rooms?
Thanks,
Margaret

We were in Fantasia(building 8) this past January and were quite pleased. We were on the second floor but right beside the steps. Our room was only steps from the check-in building and faced the pool. Pool noise was not a real problem because it was quite cool, but with small children ,if an early bed time is in the picture, you might want to request a room that does not face the pool. I think the noise could be a real problem in warmer weather.Don't know about the connecting rooms. Have a fun trip.

OK all,

I need some clarification please! Are there two different room rates for the All Stars now?

Is Fantasia the only "preferred" section? (and is this due to proximity to bus stop & main building)

How many preferred vs. non-preferred rooms are there?

Are all water views preferred?

Does this mean that non-preferred is going to be a parking lot view?

Help please!
