Location of Doubletree Seaworld to AK??

We have one night that we have to stay somewhere before we can check into WBC. I have Hilton points but not many so I was trying to conserve them in case we decide to stay an extra night and can't stay at WBC. How is the drive from the Doubletree near Seaworld to AK? Google maps says 12.1 miles, but in Orlando terms that could mean 30 minutes or more We have to make sure we check out and leave in plenty of time for our 8:25 ressie at TH.

Instead of staying "cross-town" like that, why not consider a Hilton product in the Downtown Disney area or the Palm Parkway area? Much, much closer to Animal Kingdom!

There's a Doubletree Suites in DTD, and a Hampton Inn in the Palm Parkway. I don't think the Hampton is much above 30K points per night.

Honestly the only reason I was considering the doubletree by sea world was because they have a promo for 8,000 point plus $40 OOP. Otherwise you're right, the other places you mentioned are 30,000 pts. I only have 47000 pts and was trying to keep 30,000 to stay an extra night after we have to check out of WBC (there is no availability for us to just stay an 8th night at WBC).

My parents stayed there over Easter weekend, my nephew had a basketball tournament at WWoS. They loved it, said more of a resort than a hotel. It's right off of I-4 so getting to those ressies won't be horrible.

I'm not sure about the hotel specifically, but Sea World is not that far from AK. We stayed off property during Spring Break and went to Sea World with dinner at AKL (past AK) that day at 6:30. Even in stop and go traffic, it was 30 min or less by car.
