Location of Dock at OKW???

Hi..

Anyone know where (which building it's near) the dock for the boat to DD??

It is the marina. This is located in the town square where the Hospitality House, Oliva, the gift shop, Goods to go, the lounge, the main pool, the gym and the community hall are all together.

As you are facing the doors for the check-in area, turn left 90 degrees. Walk about 200 feet (don't be too literal here, I don't want you to end up in the water ) - can't miss it.

The dock in DD is on the market place side, it's a short stroll to the Disney store.

We love taking the boat ride every time we go to OKW. It's very relaxing, and the CM's piloting the boat are great!

Are there any boats to rent, or is it basically a canal to DD? We are staying there for the first time in May.

They have I think 3 different sizes - small single person bike-boats, small power boats and then a larger power boat. DVC members also get a discount on boat rentals, and sometimes coupons for an extra 1/2 hour are given out.

where can you go in a rental boat? just out to DD and over to PO?

You can go to DD and PO, but there are no docking facilities available. The boats are for more of an excursion than for transportation. Enjoy the trip!

Last time we rented, we docked the boat at PO and then checked out the pool; but that was a few years ago so things may have changed.

That's pretty much it. Just up the canal to DD and back down. It's still a pleasant way to spend some time though.

Thanks all - from a map, it looks like a little more room to "putter around" than at the Carribean Resort where we rented little "power" boats once.
We are looking forward to our first DVC resort trip in May(took a Vermont concierge trip last Fall) - two nights at OKW and then on to our home at VB (so Richyams won't get upset with us VB people taking over OKW!) - just kidding Richyams, and I am sure you know we are all very glad you are doing well and you are back to your regular postings!
We also plan to try Hirams near VB (thanks to PamOKW for posting the link) and maybe the Ocean Grill.
