So, I've found out some new info since my last post. The figurine I am looking for (circa 1993 - 1994) was a Disney-MGM Studios park exclusive, and not part of the WDCC.

Does anyone know of a place/store/website, etc. where I might be able to locate park exclusive items?

Thanks for your help!

I don't have a pic, sorry. I can describe it though.

It was a figurine of Mickey and Minnie sitting in movie theater seats sharing a bag of popcorn. Basically, perfect for Disney-MGM Studios.

I believe it was porcelain. I don't think it's part of the Walt Disney Classics Collection.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Sorry, I never saw that one! But back then, the parks did some really nice pieces in clay, NOT resin.

All I can offer is for you to try eBay and have patience...

Maybe this will help... I think this is the right figure you are looking for...

This pic is from an old catalog of Disney Merchandise Catalog #7, undated...

Anybody got one of these for a fellow DIS member?

Hope this will help somehow...

Hey, this might also be some help...

The catalog number is: 0151-79107 and it is priced at $45.95.
It is called "Mickey and Minnie in Theater with Popcorn".

That's exactly it! OMG!!! (I can't believe I just typed that - my teenage DD's are rubbing off on me.)

Thank you so much for the info! Now, anyone have any idea where I might be able to purchase it? Tried eBay to no avail.

See, my DW and I bought this on our honeymoon to WDW nearly 17 years ago and a few years later our DD broke it when she was 2. We've moved a number of time since and lost our honeymoon photos during one of the moves, so that piece was our only momento from our honeymoon. Therefore, we've always remembered it fondly for sentimental reasons.

Our anniversary is coming up in a few months and I thought it would be nice to surprise my DW with it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

flyinglizard,

I was just thinking, is the number you provided also the item #, or is there a separate number for that? Having the item # might make searching for it a bit easier.

Thanks again for all your help!

The number I gave you is the catalog number- the number to order from the catalog. The sku number would be on the price tag, and that's what the mouse machine uses to keep track of inventory. That could possibly also be the sku number, I'm not sure.

You might try Disneyana Exchange for some help, but once again, have patience! I can't give a recent recommendation because I haven't dealt with them in years, but back then, the experience of selling through them was good.

I'm sure, your thoughtful sentiment will be appreciated whenever you find the figure- birthday, anniversary or Christmas.

flyinglizard,

I've been looking for this piece on and off for years, but more seriously over the past few months before it even occurred to me to try on the DIS Collectors Board (of course that's where I should have gone first).

Your pic and info is the first bite I've gotten so the excitement that I'm closer now is really palpable. But as you say, patience (supposed to be a virtue, I'm told).

Thanks again for all your help and advice. Much appreciated.
