Last trip from WDW.SSR to SFB to catch a 10 am flight, left resort at 6:30 am via Greenway/417. After stopping to get gas/return rental car, just made our flight on a weekday. Didn't expect such heavy/slow traffic on 417 after it crossed the beachline.
This trip, will be driving back from Royal Pacific @ Universal to catch same flight.
Last trip (driving to the Royal Pacific on a weekday, from SFB during evening rush) I took 417 to 408. traffic was heavy on 408, crawling on I4. took 20 minutes before we hit the first exit, where I made my way to resort using back roads. Not sure if it was a fluke but wondering if there is "a better way".
Catching the same flight out, again on a weekday, wondering which route will have less traffic at approximately 7 am...or should I leave earlier? Don't mind leaving a bit earlier or using surface roads to skip trafffic.
I'm seeing two alternatte routes in addition to the one I tried last time:
I4 to 414 then 17
or
I4 up further to pick up 417
