~~~ Local Weather Updates Please ~~~
It is disturbing.... still no sight of the nine gosling's and their parents at The Cheese Factory in Marin County. I swear they better be OK or else...... anyway.... on the weather front....
First though the weather girl must put the shrunken head that Trader Sam gave her while on expedition upon the Jungle Cruise, high on her book shelf, because her cats,especially her fat cat, likes chewing on it's hair.
Rain began late this morning. Continuing on and off over the course of the day, clearing up later in the evening. The temperature feels at this time to be in the low to mid 50's.
U V index zero, high humidity, with several miles visibility. I currently have no barometer reading for I had to give that to Trader Sam in exchange for some cool looking beads that were around the baby elephants neck. The baby did not mind sharing, for he has more of those. And the villagers have been really needing a good barometer too. So now, not only can they give us tropic standard time, but also an accurate barometer reading too. Plus it was a really great trade for me to make. But now I must acquire a new barometer.... anyone?
A clear, beautiful morning in Moss Landing CA, where I work. Blue skies with just a few fluffy clouds in the distance. Only about 60 degrees, so crisp, but clear. As I look out the window of my office, I see that the ocean has some chop due to the recent storm. Moderate breakers, and I can see a half dozen surfers in wet suits waiting for them. It should be a good weekend.
Now I have to go off to the lab to prepare an experiment.
Thank you for your weather update. Although you have been mighty tardy. But I forgive you. :) It must be difficult to have a view like that, but be stuck in the lab. Although that does sound interesting and exciting too. Well for me anyway, for I do not know how to swim. :scared1: Yes, I know, pathetic! :lmao:
Anyway, if you need an assistant just let me know, for I love the idea of working in labs, and on experiments. Especially if it can find a cure for cancer. Or something equally intriguing.
Ok, the weather here is weird. At least one day a week it rains. And the rest of the week is beautiful, in the 70s, and sunny.
Yesterday was rainy and windy and stormy looking outside, and when I wake up today it is gorgeous!
Thank you for your weather update. I appreciate it. I find the weather in Central Ca. to be interesting. It can either be nice, or stinking hot. :faint: One would think it was the desert or something.
Have you ever heard the expression, applied to many place, If you don't like the weather wait 5 minutes? Sounds very predictable where you are.
Today, snow in the morning stopped around 9:30 turing to rain, by afternoon broken clouds and 45. I was mostly inside all day s not big deal for me.
I have a sinking feeling that we are in for another cold summer like last year. :sad2: Last year they said the Bay Area had the coldest summer in 40 years. And so far all the weather reports show barely 70 degrees if we are lucky, lots of hazy clouds and mostly just high 60s. So disappointing.
That's exactly what I'm hoping for is a cool summer! Of course, cool summer up there is totally different than cool summer down here which would still be pretty warm. I'm just enjoying the fact that I haven't had to turn the AC on yet and it's almost June! WooHoo! :cool1:
We had weird weather yesterday with rain and lots of stormy looking clouds. Rain, in SoCal, at the end of May? Very strange. Today is blue skies and sunny.
Thank you everyone for your updates and commentary, I appreciate it. And .... did someone say B B Q? I love it, yummy! I will bring dessert. :)
It does rather seem as though this part of Ca. (Sonoma County) will be seeing another cool summer. Which I prefer. But I hope that it does not mean a mini heat wave in Sept - October like last year. I do not do well in hot weather. I rather whither like a plant. And my skin itches, and if that is not bad enough, I can get heat headaches and.......... OMG! :faint: if I am really hungry, then I will become double cranky. That is when I really need to be in the shade, and with food or else.......... it might get ugly ;) No, really....
Aweful weather some snow lots of rain and upper 30s all day long.
Oh dear, we are the exact opposite. ;) My favorite temp is about 85. I love warm weather. Well, as you can see, it's raining again today. Thankfully, I'm done teaching for the summer. I hate it when I can't take the kids out for recess.
Thank you for the most recent contributions.
Pink B,
85 is definitely on the warm side for me. If there is a cool breeze, I can handle it in the shade. :)
Mikey,
Shasta County weather sounds really very exciting. I love the rain, thunder, and lightning.
Perfect weather for watching horror movies, and baking chocolate chip cookies (Well, I like to do that anyway, oh and nosh upon pizza too)
Je vous remercie pour votre mise à jour météo.
You are welcome.
Today was very nice, mostly sunny but only reached the high 50's. But with snowflakes only in the forecast for one day this week and slight chance at that, things are looking nice.
I didn't post yesterday but it hit, 70, shorts and sandals, though a strong breeze kept it from feeling hot.
Today, it was 60 in the morning, dropped 3 degree an hour. Strong wind with big thick showers all around. Watched it snow in June out the window while I ate dinner.
Gracias .........
The reason for my tardiness is that I was invited to dinner by Trader Sam and his family (Well what is left of them, actually more like leftovers) his third wife made a great stew..... but now he will have to look for a new bride, oh well, nothing to stew about.
For dessert we dined upon some of the finest lady fingers available. And somewhere out there, are women who now can get a discount on manicures. Oh how the ladies do love their discounts. Matter of fact, I can count them all on their fingers. I especially loved the tiny tasty finger that had been dipped in semi-sweet chocolate. Matter of fact, Sam was gracious enough to wrap up the remains, I mean left overs from dinner,plus added the remaining lady fingers too. They will make for a wonderful late night nosh along with hot chocolate, that also came from Trader Sam. He is entering the Cacao market, and with that now has his own brand of Cocoa. Look for it soon at his cousins stores, Trader Joe's.
I do love visiting Sam and his family so, for you never know what might be in store for you. Last time several snakes dropped in for dinner, right from the trees. I don't like snakes. But Sam does, so now he owns a right proper looking pair of snake skin sandals with matching belt and wallet. I like how Sam is really very creative. But then one must be in order to live with nature.............. otherwise........... you might be eaten by it instead.
The weather out in the jungle today was hot and humid.......... with the weather turning dark at night. Like it normally does. The weather for tomorrow will be hot and humid. With monsoon season starting soon. So don't forget your umbrella and anti-venom, should you be venturing out upon another jungle cruise or safari. And remember.... there is still at least one known safari party that is out there somewhere lost and presumed.... well..... just beware of the head hunters, and piranhas too. Because if one does not get you, the others just might. So I don't care how much you might want to take a nice swim in their wonderful waters...... don't.... no matter how hot it is. Nor how fast you believe that you can swim, because I assure you, they will win. But at least then, you won't be needing any sunscreen anymore. Amongst other things too. Great way to save money. The hardest way, but definitely a way all the same.
Ah.... I just polished off my last finger lickin' good.... well ... finger, lady finger that is. That one was topped with a strawberry that had been dipped in dark chocolate. It was amazingly delicious! And I most highly recommend them too. Fore warning though, due to the particular and various difficulties that can, do and will otherwise ensue, it can be most difficult not to just find the right finger desserts and foods, but to find the right ... well shall we say type? Anyway, some are too skinny, others too chunky, some are too wrinkled, or just look really awful, so bad matter of fact that not even the crows would want to nibble at them. No, really just ask Trader Sam and his cousin Trader Joe. They will verify my statements.
But let me not digress....... the weather today in the jungle was again hot and humid..... turning to rain... much to the demise of Sam's otherwise wonderfully planned b b q. So he had to post pone it. In the mean time, he can still cook up a wonderful meal, by using his Family Foreman Grill. He ordered it off of QVC about 6 months ago. He is very happy with it. And his grill is even autographed by none other than George Foreman himself. Mine is not, and I say not fair! Oh well..... So anyway, unfortunately I was not able to attend, because I had been on a dig with Indy, and we ended up well literally tied up, by looters. No, not hooters, that is an entirely different subject.... it took us awhile to become untied. It was not easy, for I had to twist and turn, so I could work up enough sweat,so as to be able to slide out of my ropes. And quite frankly I believe that Houdini would have been very proud of my efforts, especially seeing how it culminated with my release. Otherwise, I would imagine not so much. Once I was able to free myself, I then set about releasing Indy. Although not until I had a few words for him first. Ah, how I ever so do love a captive audience. It is a most wonderful thing. Oh, I forgot to mention that a gag was in his mouth too. The looters did that because he was getting on their last nerves. So not only did I have is undivided attention, but he could not argue word one with me, well at least not until I had to untie him anyway....
Upper 50s. Partly cloudy and nearly clear by the time the sky turned pink for sunset.
