Local Restaurant's?

Does anyone have a few good suggestions for places that are local to the area that might be worth checking out? I may be stretching here since the area is probably just saturated with typical chain and vacation type places but I can get my fill of Mimi's, Cheesecake Factory, Joe’s and so on at home. I was hoping for some nice finds that are more regional or special to Anaheim. I won't have a car so probably nothing too far away. Thanks’ for any suggestions!

Well, there's Mari's Pizza for a great pizza and local flavor. That's about a block west of DCL on Katella. Tiffy's restaurant is on the corner of Katella and West. It sort of a coffee shop (but nicer) type resaurant.
