Local Newspapers? And a ? for John/Kevin and one for Kathy :)

DH and I are searching for a rental home in the Orlando area. I have searched Craigslist, myfloridahomesmls.com, padmapper, hotpads, etc. I have found some that are interesting, but I wondered if there were local newspapers (other than the Orlando Sentinel) that might have homes that are available for rent by the owner.

I am hesitant to pay an application fee for every home we are interested in. I am hoping that I can find sites or papers that list duplexes, townhomes, homes for rent by their owner.

Kevin & John--didn't you have a place that you were thinking of renting at one point? Where would you list it if you did? I'm not looking for your home, but wondered where you would go if you had one to list.

Kathy--do you know anyone that has kids in No Name Towns Schools? I researched them on GreatSchools.org and was a little hesitant. The town is beautiful and DH and I really liked it, but the scores weren't as great as some of the other schools we had looked into.

Hi! I am not familiar with the schools in this area. I didn't have to worry about that when I moved. You will love it here. Good luck with the house hunting.

My first attempt would be through a real estate agent that works with rentals.

After thatt, I'd google "house rentals" in Orlando, Kissimmee (or any other town that interests you).

I also found a list for Apartment Finder.
