Only tried one...Angels Lobster Buffet. I wouldn't go there again. The lobster was really tough. The crab legs were better at my local chinese buffet. The prime rib was good though but not worth the price. I went to the early bird to save a few bucks.
There have been previous threads complaining about the lack of a good seafood restaurant. Not sure why, but most people prefer not to eat seafood in Orlando.
O-Town has a lot of very good seafood choices. but they're not the ones represented in tourist materials. if you overcook seafood, which buffets do, you're in for rubber in 'butter'. if you want good FLA seafood on property, go to Bonefish, or Bluezoo. that's about it.
we went to the Boston Lobster Feast. It was not very good! Everything floated in sort of a water/butter mixture (and we were early for dinner). Too expensive for less than average food!
I've heard the Clam Bake at the Cape May buffet over at the Boardwalk is really good, but I don't believe they serve lobster there.
As with any food, lobster is a very regional thing. For "really good lobster", you go to New England.
You might think that since Florida is surrounded by water that the seafood would be spectacular. And it is, but you need to go with regional selections, in season, and not too far from where they take it off the boat.
Hi...we really like Shell's for good crablegs and seafood...never had the lobster there...It is about 7 miles east of Disney on the north side of 192...we always go at least once...very informal, reasonable price...free salted in the shell peanuts and cold beer!!!!
Shell's is wonderful--it's a Florida chain, and the area that the Kissimmee restaurant is in is actually past the majority of the touristy area. They have a website at http://www.shellsseafood.com/.
