Anyone have the lobster at Yachtsman? Covered by dining plan? Compared to Narcoosees' lobster? I think this is a new entree

From the menu posted on WDW's dining reservations site:
Butter-Poached Maine Lobster-- 2-lb Lobster, Spinach, Vanilla-whipped Parsnips, and Green Apple-Lemongrass Emulsion 66.00

DH and I dined at Yachtsman for the first time on our Feb/March 2011 trip. Our full review is in my signature. We did order the lobster dinner (him) and porterhouse (me) and we shared. We loved that the lobster was entirely removed from its shell (though it's a 2lb lobster, it comes to 9oz of meat) to us that's one of the biggest hassles and why we typically don't order a full lobster when we are out for dinner. It was DELICIOUS. However, if you want melted butter, ask for it, they don't serve it with butter.

DH had it with a baked potato, and the sauteed spinach and mashed parsnips it came with. He said he would have asked for the parsnips on the side if he realized they would be touching the lobster meat, not that he doesn't like things to touch, he just doesn't like the sweetness of parsnips.

How does it compare to Narcoossee's - we've never had the full lobster at Narcoossee's, and yes we know that the lobster tail that DH does like from there is frozen. So, if we compare the YS lobster to the Narcoossee's lobster tail, YS lobster is better! It was delicious!

ETA: yes, it is included with the dining plan.

My stepmom ordered it in March. I had never seen it on the menu and was wondering if it was just a "lent" addition or if it will stay. It was very good. I got the filet, and she got the lobster--(she's far more catholic than me :rotfl2:) she let me have quite a bit of it since it was huge. i liked it better than the lobster at narcoossee's for sure. i felt bad for booking a great steakhouse on a friday... but I clearly wasn't thinking. Luckily their new menu item saved us!

Thanks for the review. We are dining there in a few weeks, and the one thing about me and lobster is that I too hate when the shell is still on. It is nice to hear that they take it off for you :goodvibes. Can't wait to try it.

It's delicious, we will definitely have it again.

The comical aspect for us though - them bringing DH a 9oz plate of lobster, and plunking down a 24-oz porterhouse in front of me. Priceless! And we ate every bite of both!

I had the lobster at Yatchsman in March and it was great. It is served out of the shell so you don't have to do any work. Just enjoy!
I have had the lobster at Narcoossees a couple times and it was very good. They are 2 different preperations. I would recommend them both!
