LMT Club Ticket Question

Hoping someone with experience purchasing park tickets from LMT club can help me out with a question for a family member. I know you have to select a date when purchasing your tickets on the LMT site, but what if your trip dates change? I know so many people who plan a trip, buy tickets then something comes up and they have to postpone a few months. Would they be out the money or will Disney still accept the ticket vouchers? On the vouchers I received from LMT, it has the usual statement from Disney "tickets expire 13 days after first use or on January 13, 2017, whichever occurs first." I guess I don't understand why LMT would even require a data unless it's just a software issue.

And just to clarify for my upcoming trip, we take these printed vouchers straight to the turnstiles and skip the ticket booth, correct?

Hi Luv-Tink. What is LMT (I'm sorry, I don't keep up with all of the acronyms)?

The vouchers will tell you whether you have to exchange for tickets at the ticket booth or if they are E-tickets that you can take up to the turnstiles.

LMT is Last Minute Travel Club.

The tickets purchased from LMT are actual tickets and not vouchers. You take them directly to the turnstiles. The reason they ask for dates is because it searches for tickets that are valid on your travel dates. So for instance if you put in February 2017 it wouldn't come up with anything.

It's because sometimes travel companies sell tickets that are part of a package/promotion/convention that are only valid for specific dates. Sometimes they might be tickets without restrictions and you can change your dates, but there may also be times where they got a deal on tickets with more restrictions and you'd be out of luck. I think this is more common at WDW where there are more off site conventions that include a park ticket option and more hotel blocks that can be reserved. But it's still a risk you take when buying discounted tickets without seeing the actual conditions on your specific tickets.

I totally understand there's some risk when not purchasing directly from Disney.

So, if I understand correctly there should be no issue if I were to change travel dates with my tickets from LMT because of the statement on the tickets saying "tickets expire 13 days after first use or on January 13, 2017, whichever occurs first." But there is the possibility that others may have different conditions on their tickets or vouchers when they purchase from a reseller.

I just want to make sure I relay the risks so our family members can make an informed decision on where and when to purchase their tickets. They have their tax refund burning a hole in their pockets right now and want to purchase tickets for a trip this year, at a savings if possible, and then plan their trip later so dates are up in the air right now. I'm the exact opposite, I have to have the dates before I start buying or reserving anything.

It should be ok, but since I do not work for LMT Club you really should talk to them to be 100% sure. I have called them before and they are generally very helpful.
