LL Beans ......what a mob

we just went for a ride and ended up in their parking lot......hahaha......what a mob of people......just where we parked our truck I counted 18 different states on the license plates........now that is alot.....Nice to have them all come to Maine and buy their beanie stuff......I got a pair of gloves to wear that have a little place for my hand warmers to go into.....they are bright orange gloves so I can go hunting this weekend and no one will mistake me for a deer.......well I wear orange hat, and orange pants, and orange vest........I am VERY VERY ORANGE

You may be orange but I would also be very cautious and noisy. My folks live in Maine and dad heard some bozos bragging about how they got off some "sound shots". They live down a dirt road in a rural area and I worry dad will get shot out walking the dogs.They have orange stuff too but if people are shooting at what they hear instead of what they see it isnt going to help much!

Hmmm, I think we need to start dressing the deer in orange too That would make for an interesting season.

but remember if we dont help make the herd smaller......with all the developments going up......they will either get run down by cars or starve.....we have certain areas in maine for harvesting and whether there are ample females or just a male only area.....same goes for Moose hunting......I have harvested both deer and moose and I love the meat too......
Thanks for the warning on the roads.....we hunt in an area that is usually quiet ....only a hand ful of people go there.......I haven;t been out yet this season but will next weekend......thus my new LL Bean gloves with a heat pack area......YIPPEE......

This is very timely. I was just about to log out of here and into LL Bean to place an order.
I love that place. We used to visit as kids when we were camping in ME. That place can get packed!!

My dh's Grandfather told about when he was a boy seeing the dead deer pile up in a field one winter when there wasn't enough for them to eat. The herd has to be culled.

You have to be careful- but you're more likely to get killed in a car accident on the way home than shot hunting.

We just got an outlet in Bangor. It's not like being in Freeport..... but I guess it's the next best thing!
