I have heard they are pretty good, but I have seen fleece sheets that I just may have to get.......not for me, though, too hot. DD's room is always cold, so maybe for her.
I have the ones from Lands End and I won't buy anything else (I'm sure they're similar). We use them year round and I had one set for over 10 years. Very good quality so I'd say, yes, they're worth the price, definitely.
I always thought that flannel sheets would be way too hot but with the expected price of natural gas I was thinking about getting some so maybe we could turn down the heat overnight to save some money. The LL Bean ones look really nice.
we have a few sets of the ll bean flannel sheets, as well as a flannel duvet cover for our down comforter (pre-kids we kept the house pretty cold). They are heavenly, and wear very very well. I definitely see a difference compared to cheaper flannel I've bought in the past.
I use Land's End flannel sheets and none, other although I must admit I have never tried the LL Bean ones. I have tried using inexpensive flannel and found that they pill up very quickly. My LE flannels wear much better and hardly pill at all. They are also a heavier quality flannel and that makes a difference as well. In my opinion there is nothing comfier than a good flannel sheet and a down comforter on a cold winter night. Let me add that someone to snuggle with helps too! LOL
I have had both Land's End and LL Bean flannel sheets. I prefer the ones from Lands End. The ones I bought last year from LL Bean did not seem as "fuzzy" as the ones my DS got last year from Lands End and mine ended up pilling much more than his. I even got my set to my other DS for his new apartment this year and I'm planning on getting a new set from Lands End for myself for this winter.
