is it true?!?!?
on many reliable sites, i read the following:
"Sources say that the popular Disney Channel Show "Lizzie McGuire" will be making a second appearance on the network. Filming for Lizzie McGuire: College Life will begin in Fall 2011. It will focus on the life of Lizzie and her friends as they begin college. Relationships will play a bigger role in this series with a a focus on the growing relationship between Lizzie and Gordo. Hilary Duff has already signed on for the series and stated, "I couldn't be happier to go back to the place that my career began". Lizzie Mcguire: College Life is set to air in Spring 2012"

is it really happening?!?!?
if it is, i'm SO excited!!!

Given that all the "good sources" cite one particular article from a questionable source, and the fact the announcement is found in image form only, and one of the sites looks like it was translated horribly from another language, AND I can't find any reference to it from an ABC or Disney web site, it seems to be a false press release.

And the reliable trade sites seem to be ignoring it, or casting doubt.

Well here's an article stating its return also. According to this one Hillary Duff signed onto it, but again, who knows until an official announcement?

Did you read the article? It's the same "image" (not a text press release, like all corporate press releases are, but an image with the text on it) that came from the likely fake source, and right under it they even say, "Both of these reports are most likely false."

Plus, HD is in her mid 20's. She's moved on from Disney, has gotten married and is in features and more mature TV roles- she is a bit old to play a college freshman...

I agree, she has moved on and probably wouldn't be too interested in going back to her Disney days.

Not too sure about being too old to play a college freshman, It's actually quite common for actors in their mid - late 20's to be playing teens still.

Gabrielle Carteris was 32 when she was playing Andrea who was 18, not to mention a lot of the other cast were well past their teens

Michael J Fox was almost 30 when he done back to the future 3

Alan Rusk (I think it was) he was 30ish when he was in Ferris Buellers Day Off

The Fonz etc etc......

IIRC, Hillary Duff "moving on" involved a rather burnt bridge...

She's 23 years old, which actually wouldn't be an issue for a college freshman. I think Luke Perry was in his early 30's on 90210.

I'm gonna call bull on this rumor. She's shooting two films this year, including a remake of Bonnie and Clyde as Bonnie. That's a lot more risque role than Disney will want her to do if she was starring in a show for tweens. Plus, most people don't usually go back to TV until their film career is a total flop. They do films while on a TV show (See Jason Segal currently) or they leave TV for Films (George Clooney), or they go to TV because their film career is hurting badly (Charlie Sheen and Jason Biggs and many many many others.)

No mention on her website or IMDB page. The press release looks fake.

I like spreading falsified news. Its my passion and purpose here...post one article and I get smashed. Forgive me for not completely analyzing it. Its the only "valid" link to this subject and I figured on putting it up, to give hope to the hopefuls. But I'll be honest here...I Disney bus driver sent me the article...
