LivingWTL ride more or less busy during Soarin' closure?

Soarin' is closing today for refurb. But how will that affect the Living With The Land ride? LWTL is not normally a busy ride, but will Soarin' being closed make LWTL busier or less busy?

Has anyone been on LWTL after Soarin' closed? Just figuring out if we should get FP+ for it or not.
Thanks! :rainbow:

It's my guess that it will be less busy, but I've been wrong before! I personally would skip the pavilion all together, unless I was going in there to eat. (I also wouldn't choose Living with the Land as my tier one fastpass)

Way less busy. Many people won't bother with the Land pavillion and it's not really convenient to just drop in for Living with the Land. I also expect Sunshine Seasons to be empty.

I definitely love the ride, but I wouldn't waste a FP+ on it. If anything, it doesn't get longer than a twenty minute wait. It also takes quite a few people at a time.

So, I'd say it'll probably be less busy because I doubt many people will be going in the Land if Soarin's closed.

I think it'll be empty. I think many of the people who do ride are really just waiting for Soarin or hoped on after.
But I'll be riding! I love LWTL

i say less. Most folks will have zero reasons to go down there. I am hoping in general with soarin gone, EPCOT will be less crowded. I realize test track and mission space will be packed, but I am thinking overall the park will have less people.

I think it will be MORE busy because of the tiered FP system. There's not a lot of choices for Tier 1 with Soarin' closed. That leaves only 3 Tier one's to choose from:
  • Test Track*
  • IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth
  • Living with the Land
You HAVE to pick a tier 1, so simple math says more people will be getting FP for each of them.

Four, Mission Space has moved to tier one

Up until the time the new Frozen stuff opens! Then I'm afraid of just how crazy it may get!

I wonder if it will end up being busier than we think simply because some people will not know that Soarin' is closed and they'll automatically head to The Land and by default ride LwtL

My gut reaction is that it will be slow, however Sunshine Seasons seems to always be busy and people may still ride LwtL before or after eating there.

Gosh I love that ride. I've hated it seeing 40 minute waits in the past because I really can't justify that. I really can't justify waiting in any line for that long unless it is a ride with an interactive queue... and even then it's not likely. I wonder how my husband would feel if I suggested an impromptu trip while Soarin' is down just for the sole reason of getting in a ride on LWTL with minimal wait.

Nevermind. I don't have to wonder. ;)

I think it'd be more busy just because the crowds would need to do something else. Many people will go to Epcot anyway regardless of lack of Soarin' (or won't know until they're there). But I still don't think it'd be worth getting a FP in your initial 3 for it unless you don't like Test Track or Mission Space. On Dec 5 it was a posted 30 min wait when we were there, it seemed to be close to that

in all the times I have been LWTL has been a walk on and if not a walk on then a walk slowly through the line the line then on

I think over christmas day new years day I saw a 30 to 45 minute wait so I think it might get up to 15 minutes but why would you wast a FP on that

I'm heading there next week. Hopefully LWTL won't be too bad as it's one of my favorite rides. (I'm going to miss Soarin and the orange smell, though)

You'd be surprised at how long the line can get. We go pretty often and nowadays I'm surprised when Living with the Land is a walk on.

We were there for New Year's Eve and it was at 50 minutes at 4pm. We wanted to ride one last time before we left on the yesterday on the 3rd...we walked into the Land pavilion, looked over the balcony and saw the line, and walked back out
