Living With The Land- Closed For Refurb

I've never been on this damn ride

Well I just read on TGM that it is closed for refurb today through September something or other (end of the month).

Just a heads for for those that leave this week and may not have known.

I was never interested in riding on it until I head the music on Live 365. Looks like it will have to wait.

Nothing at all is mentioned about Living With the Land being closed for refurbishment. After checking various other sites, there is not a single mention of this attraction being closed. It's not like Disney to just spring a surprise refurbishment out of the blue, especially as busy as the parks have been reported to be. Until I see it posted by Disney, I'd assume it is still open.

Well, people are reporting on a daily basis that it is closed and the entrance has temporary walls across it.

Well, don't plan your day around it...

there are re-furb walls across the loading area.

They are converting the attraction to become "fully automatic" and no longer having a "live" CM pilot for each boat.

You'll have a VERY long wait to hear the MUSIC from this attraction ("Listen to the Land") that they play on Live 365.

That attraction music has not been a part of that ride since 1993 (!)

It was dropped after Nestle's took over the sponsorship from Kraft Foods and that was a very long time ago.

The ride originally was called, "Listen to the Land", but was changed to "Living with the Land" and a new soundtrack was added about 13 ago.

Hey, walls around the attraction are enough for me. Guess that is one more thing to cross of the "To Do" list this weekend. Sadly, my wife loves that attraction too.

One could always go on the Behind The Seeds tour. My wife and I love this tour and you get to see almost everthing you do on the ride. Just slower. You could if the tour is stil going on, that is...

Too bad. I like this ride, though I've been on it 10 times already, but it's always a nice break and interesting to see how everything grows.

We will be the time it is closed. I have read about the refurb on a site (not officical Disney site-I forget which one) and I love that ride but guess what....we will be on VACATION....YAY....with plenty of other great rides to enjoy......don't let one ride get you down.........just think if you plan another trip you'll have something to look forward to!!!!!

I'll live with it not being open during my Spetember trip but my boys would be if it wan't open by our December trip. Who knew 2 young boys would love looking at vegtables so much (now eating them is a different story )

Shoot!! I didn't realize this. We're going the 14th to the 22nd. Ugh. I love this ride. I also made reservations for the Behind the Seeds tour for September 18th. I'm surprised the CM didn't tell me that the ride was going to be closed. Interesting.

I guess it's good that we'll get some kind of Land experience!

Hey, I had to look to see if it was still spelled with an "e" or not, I've been adding the "e" for ages! but I figured if I was going to correct one thing, I might as well actually be . . . correct.
