When is the Living Seas schedule to re-open?

I finally decided and we're going to EPCOT on Friday after Thanksgiving AND the best thing is that my family (DH, DDs (5 & 7) all agreed :cool1: They know that it's my favorite park and since little DD didn't get to see Figment (my most favorite) or get a passport from WS she's all for going - last year she decided to go back to the Poly pool instead of going through EPCOT.

30 days & counting for our 'surprise' trip to WDW

From what I remember the date for re-opening is November 23rd. I haven't heard anything else.

Thanks :earsgirl:

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they're not delayed since we'll be there on the 25th.

My DH thinks I'm nuts since I'm doing a schedule for such a quick visit - we'll be in FL Tues. - Sat. with a huge family reunion Thanksgiving so I won't be at any park on that day but I'll be counting the hours to the next day :smooth:

Disney's website today says that it is closed all of November. Nothing listed for December. I believe it previously said it would open late November. I am kind of surprised at the hours for the week of Thanksgiving too, I thought they would be open later than 10 pm at the MK.

Not sure when you were at EPOT last, but they now have a Figment for photos and autograph. (see Tara's page of my website) - he's outside the "Figment" ride, in a little building - look for the Figment Topiary. We almost missed him the other week when we were there - and there was no one else "visiting" him! He was SAD! We love Figment too!!!

Make sure to get a FastPass for SOARIN' - it's a great ride. Right up there with Test Track in my DDs book!

Have fun - my family will be visiting me here in Orlando the two weeks after Thanksgiving.... I can't wait!

From the latest park update at Mouseplanet.com:

The Living Seas pavilion, including the popular Turtle Talk with Crush attraction, is closed for refurbishment through November 23.

So unless something changes, Living Seas will reopen on Thanksgiving Day.

Do they ever do "soft" openings for refurbishment? We're coming home Nov 19, and of course the grandkids would LOVE to see Crush.

As far as I know, soft openings are only for new attrations. If someone else knows better, I'm sure he or she will jump in!!

We were there 27 Sept. to 4 Oct, and a CM told us that the Living Seas will reopen for the Christmas Season; however, the reburbishment will be far from complete." After Christmas, the CM said the attraction will close again in order to complete the reburbishment. She didn't know the date it would reopen.

screamscape.com is suggesting that the ride will be back, and the sea base alpha story scrapped.

Let's hope that they consider the day after Thanksgiving - Christmas season :goodvibes and they'll open it up.
