Living off site during Fall 2014 College Program?

So I was wondering what peoples thoughts on living off site during the college program were? I am considering this but I was wanting to know some pros and cons and If anyone is looking for roommates!

I think living off site is a good idea. I myself lived at vista but I had a few friends who moved off site during their program. The rent may seem cheap in the DCP housing but the charges add up to an insane amount for what you get. My rent was $86 a week and there was 6 people living in my apartment so they pulled $516 a week from us x 4 weeks = $2,064 a month, which is insane (and Vista is the cheapest complex!). Especially compared to nearby off site complexes. Sabal Palms, which is directly across 535 from vista way, was around $1,300 a month for a 3 bedroom when I was there.

One major con would be furnishing the apartment though.

I would never. Half the benefit of the college program is living in college program. If you're already living off site, why not apply for part time and full time instead? You would get actual benefits and get paid more.
