Living from trip to trip...

I always have to know when and where my next trip will be, before I go home from t he trip that I am on! Even if it is not a Disney trip that I have planned next.......my husband said it has become our "norm" to discuss our next vacation on the ride home from the current one. It just gives me somethign to be excited about, instead of being thoroughly depressed about leaving!!!

i love the planning too ::yes::

i think these boards have a lot to do with that, the exchange of info, learning new things, the excitement of upcoming trips etc, all lends to the anticipation of our next trip.

my dh just said yesterday that we're more excited about our june trip than we are our ds's 2nd birthday in april. oops!

hey, at least i'm more excited about my pregnancy than the trip

Shan,

Yes to all!!! I have the next years' DVC vacation planned before we leave for the current years, not to mention the various short trips i.e. camping, weekend getaways, etc. My husband thinks I'm nuts until we arrive and then he's real happy I planned so well:earseek:

When we bought into DVC we thought we would do Disney every other year but........ we added on after a year and manage to get at least 1 sometimes 2 DVC trips in.

People in our families were getting tired of hearing us talk about it all the time so they tried it out and guess what- so far 4 other family members have joined!! (Do I hear referral??)

I am itching for a 50 - 100 point add on, but will probably hold off at least 6 months on that, but I will do it::yes::

7 days and I'm in my favorite place in the world. Bags are practically packed already, lol!!

Yes we live trip to trip. My DW and I talk about it constantly. My friends say I never talk unless someone mentions Disney.

After about 40 trips to WDW, 17 of them as a DVC member I reached the point where I no longer miss WDW if fact I have taken a year and and 1/2 off from DVC and WDW because of it. I am sure come January I will be looking forward to going to OKW to get out of the cold, but the parks just do not do it for me anymore. The weather is the big attraction down there for me now. Life is too good to wait for a trip to WDW to enjoy it.

We are the same way. Disney is a word spoken very often in our house. I am on the boards daily. The information is wonderful. Anytime we see something Disney related on the travel channel one of us watches it.

We're coming down in September for our 1st DVC trip @ SSR. Already have preliminary plans for Jan/Feb 06 w/ some additional family members. So exciting!

Maria - MiaSRN62 - we are neighbors in Bucks County...Warrington to be exact.

Peace? My family wouldn't call it that... They are ready to load me up on Lithium and Thorazine!! Point useage is planned out thru 2011, and clearly there ain't enough!! Just did another add on... still need more... Can't go on points in 07 & 09.. starting to panic already..

I was a heavy smoker for thirty some years, it was easier to give it up than it is to go a day without talking Disney or not visiting the boards!!

But I ain't crazy...

I do most of the planning, but my dh is the certifiable nut. He must talk about Disney all the time at work because at Christmas someone gave him a Mickey Mouse cookie jar and when they had a baby shower for us we got a Disney storybook, Pooh diaper bag, and assorted other Disney baby items.

I go on and off with my planning mania. Yes, I have called MS to book my next DVC visit from my DVC villa....when you plan trips 11 months apart to make use of AP's it seems to work out that way! I also often end up on the phone with CRO during a trip...adding just one more night....LOL.

I've become much less fanatic about planning our PS's....but now with 3 kids I think I need to get better about planning meals in our room! Gotta find the money to add on so we can get that 2br in a few years when we need it somehow!

How about this though....we plan out our points use well in advance and have been planning to add on longer than we planned buying our house....or having our most recent baby! Can't wait to take the baby though...it was so much fun last time we had a baby with us!

We actually visited WDW too many times this past summer and fall....so waiting almost a year between visits doesn't seem too long now.

:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc Its all i talk about, dream, sleep, eat and search on the net,    , thats me!!!!!!!!!!!hurry up DEC. disneykid:wave2: :yo-yo: ::yes:: :chat: ::MinnieMo

If you didn't have a trip planned in the future would you go mad? Does having a Disney trip to look forward to and plan for give you peace? Does it help ease the Disney withdrawals from when you first get back home after a stay?

Are DVC members slightly insane? (Like can you go a day without mentioning WDW? Do family and friends get sick of hearing you talk about WDW?)

ARE YOU AN ADDICT?!? :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

Guilty on all charges!!!

We're going to be at BCV in about a month, but I'm thinking about planning for the next two which won't be until 2005. Only one trip this year!! DH has already committed all of his vacation this year and can only do one week (8 days) at WDW. So, we'll have to make up for it next year either with two trips or one tirp and a cruise.

We love planning our trips to Orlando/WDW/Vero Beach - after all WDW is the happiest place on Earth!

thanks

The Disney vacation plans are the only thing that keeps me sane.
I live from trip to trip. I am going to Disney World for Thanksgiving and then a Cruise in 2/05. I will be structuring the rest of '05 around when I can return, how much points, my wife's vacation available etc.
I have been so bad, at times, that I booked the trip and told my wife, after-God Bless her patience.
There are days that the only thing that carried me through was the "Thought" of my next Disney Vacation.

Yes, yes, yes!

I wear something Disney related, like a Mickey pin or bracelet, to work on days I know will be especially difficult to help brighten the day. This helps me handle any stress that comes along.

I'm definately always planning ahead. We have Member Homecoming in May followed by the 10 day cruise in December. When Member Homecoming is over I'll start working on more definate plans for next year. Right now we're talking Hawaii.

Hello, my name is Kim, and I'm a Disneyaholic, and proud.

:hyper: :tongue: ::yes:: :wave2: princess:

does every school project she can on DVC including Spanish and French ones.
She always finds a way to talk Disney.

Ya know...I used to know all my trips a year to 18 months out...not just Disney. But this last year all my trips have been short notice just a few weeks out and I went...no Disney trip so far (even though this is supposed to be a Disney year). It's been fun! My planning skills are sufficiently honed that I don't have to plan way in advance for the way I like to travel. So I hang out on these boards looking for things I might want to do and staying aware that I might have to book something in advance.

I have five booked that are coming up this year. I have already made two and am planning for two more.
