Liverpool - any diser's from this area

Hi, I am trying to find out some details about the location of the new 50m swimming pool in Liverpool, DS has to go there in July and trying to decide on mode of transport we thought about flying but can't find any flights from London to Liverpool so almost decided to go by train but... - how far is it from the Station!! can it be walked or would we need a taxi/bus? I have considered driving but have to go to Sheffield about 10 days after we reutrn home and did not really want to do two long drives that close. Thanks

Is it in Wavertree, Wellington Road?

There is a local train station in Wavertree, so you'd get the train up to Liverpool Lime Street then change onto the local service. From there I think its walkable but it might take 20 minutes or so. Its a while since I've been so its hard to remember but it is a pretty easy route. I could ask my Dad if needed.

My Dad says:

Wavertree station is 5 mins walk from the pool. A taxi from Liverpool Lime St would be approx £7 - £8, (Approx 3 - 4 miles).

So its a lot closer than I thought!

Oh and he has just added:

There are 5 trains an hour from Lime St to Wavertree station

Thank you so much for all the help chilly, I certainly think that i will book the train as we are only there for 3 days and he will be swimming on all days, I will not need the car during the rest of the time.

Yep, it's easy to get there, loads of buses too, to either Smithdown Road or Wavertree Road, there'll be no problems finding it
